I have problem with plugin scanner , its not scanning any plugins , just saying waiting for plugin scanner.
prev ver all work fine .
any idea?

what is loopback?

 

Loopback is what you need if you are offline to make it work. If you want the technical definition in a nutshell, the Microsoft Loopback Adapter is a virtual network interface that your computer uses to communicate with itself. It is a dummy network card adapter for testing, or using applications that are dependent on network functionality or would would not install if a network card is not present.

Edit: Your title should mention that it is a plugin scanner problem to help others looking for a solution to same problem.

I fixed the title

 

If you are online, you can block it if you are not online install loopback.

 

For those members that need the Microsoft Loopback Adapter here is a method that always works.

1. Click the Start menu.
2. Search for cmd.
3. Right-click on cmd and select Run as Administrator
   
4. Enter hdwwiz.exe
5. In the Welcome to the Add Hardware Wizard, click Next.
6. Select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) and click Next.
7. Scroll down and select Network adapters and click Next.
8. Under Manufacturer select Microsoft.
   
9. Under Network Adapter select Microsoft Loopback Adapter and click Next.

 

I dont want to go off topic here but there is no need to revert to 4.1.2. in order to use Studio X . Another member, @mono , will post the latest fix for Studio X just like he has done in the past with previous versions.

FWIW, the first time I scan plugins with Studio One it takes a lot of time and seems hanged up, but it eventually ends (15 min perhaps).
After that it works fine.

I almost forgot......scanning "my"20.000 Bucks.....takes 6 sec...

 

What engine are you using? A 4 cylinder from the 80's?I didn't measure it but on a W7 system with over 1300 plugins I know it didn't take 15 minutes. Not even 5. In fact, I was surprised at how fast it did the scan.

Have a win fix for use to get full screen mode working again
the plugin scan working and studio one x back whats still working after the last quick fix
will share it next door on the REQ: Presonus Studio One Pro v4.5 (Mac Version)
cause the xt eddit thing is in it as well

I can't seem to get Studio One X working in v4.5 on Windows.
