I hear you man. Personally i still use fl studio for beat making but studio one specifically for recording audio. They added even better integration for the 192 im sure youll be a happy camper when going back:)

Can't wait to try the new version and see how they have improved the CPU performance. Love Presonus, they know what they are doing.
Just as a comparison look at Avid and their overrated Protools :deep_facepalm::

Sucks that the new version has this weird plugin scanning problem. Since people aren't having this in older versions, I assume that something must certainly be wrong. I'm really curious if the big release groups are going to comment on the plugin scan bug that people are experiencing, and if they're gonna perhaps improve on it and post a memo in the nfo file about it ;)

I'm pretty sure R2R will wait until a fixed version (v4.5.1?) came out before releasing something; the network/scanning bug is not the only BBB (big bad bug) that must be corrected in emergency...

Everyone seems to be making a bigger deal out of the scanning issue than what it really is. Solutions that do work have been posted on this thread. No biggie

I find Studio 4.5 faster than cubase. In cubase
I have a bug, the real time peaks 100%.
And studio one works great with 192 really great. I think I'm moving to Studio One 4.5 and sell my elicenser.

OK Testing for 3 Days Now. Huge Huge improvement to my main Mixing DAW
First for me is a plug in manage, Chanel strip trims and Pre fader metering...
CPU usage is down by about 50% from what I can tell
Most of the 50 + improvements are requests from Protools users. They are obviously after Avid's ass.

Its Christmas for me V3 (3.1 beta) of Bitwig and 4.5 of Studio one 3.

32 bit plug ins Seriously? I have 2... who cares, why go backwards. So many awesome alternatives out there.

BTW... The reason it takes ages for plug ins to scan is your virus protection.. turn it off scan and uncheck the Scan on boot box

This is a company that listens to its client base..

hm Ihave disable the internet connectiion adapter and i just used the update plugin function in studio one , woked so far anytimes without network.

you compared it to windows ?

Here an example what I mean with lag:
    http://sendvid.com/ydxuqdj6
See the window follows the mouse pinter and doenst stay where it is grabbed

when expanding the mixer there is an initial lag:

So I've playing with it thanks to @The Pirate and the plug-in thing also happened to me. I first did the backloop adapter solution, so far so good. I'm gonna try the firewall solution tomorrow. About Omniesphere lag... it's true for me that it adds a little bit of latency, is was not as responsive as an standalone exe (not a big problem for me anyways, it's almost imperceptible). I'll look for some options and I'll edit this if I find a solution.

I have some problem with the CPU load of Roland VSTs, so... If you are having some random spikes in CPU performance bar, try to move your dropout selection. I moved it from maximum to high and it used even less CPU.
Over all, for me it has great stability. Again thanks to The Pirate for the ticket to the theater.

Why X32 ? Because other DAWS gives you that , Magix Sequoia is an example (Magix can deliver that !!! , really ??? , and presonus dont ??? ) and this like many other things are already requested ... by many users\years.

Actually Bitwig does and I use that, but again why would they bother when everyone thats serious about audio lives in a 64 bit world?
Magix Sequoia isn't exactly on any professionals radar. You dont get Protools mix engineers, film scorers and major league studios going... hey you know what I need?.. 32 bit plug ins, can you reverse engineer support and not worry about trimmed inputs, multi-plug in support and prefader metering...

I'll ask you again why do you need it is Is there a 32 bit plug in you absolutely cant do without like Sophia or NI Grain Delay that cant be replaced by something thats infinitely better sounding and less cpu intensive?
Because other DAWS give you that inst a reasonable reason.

Like many other users? I've had it since day one.. I didnt request it, I'd actually feel stupid asking for that. I was pretty amazed its built into Bitwig actually although I never tend to use it.

Spot on mate, that 64 bit gold...

anyone else got this slow redraw when moving a selection of multiple regions :
    http://sendvid.com/n9z5u6qi
see how it redraws from right to left ?!

I only get that under Windows under macOS (same hardware, hackintosh) there is no such a redraw thing

Apologies for my ignorance. My DAW PC is always offline, would I still need to install the MS loopback adaptor for the plug-in scan to work or should I be good to go? Never had any problems with previous versions.

Did at first, Very frustrating. Reconnected to to dedicated off-line router & also turned on networks settings that were turned off somehow in 'Local Area Connection'.

For a fresh install, scanning takes about 2 - 3 seconds per plugin. Roughly 3 1/2 minutes per 100 plugins @ 2 seconds.
