I'm a noob using cracked Kontakt 5.7.3, and have a few questions. Some Kontakt sound packs I downloaded can't seem to be added into the libraries, yet when I import the folder through the database the files load, but I get the "Must be added to library first" error. There is a .nicnt file in the Kontakt library's I try to load, yet it still says library no library can be found when trying to load them. Some library's sounds will play from the database without physically adding the library, but the more popular packs like East meets West won't load in the library, and when trying to use the data base I get the me the "must be added to library error". I did have Some success getting some library's load, but most don't. What would be causing this issue? Do I need some sort of factory library's installed for certain libraries to work? Any help would be appreciated.

There are 3 different Types of Kontakt libraries.
    1. Those you dont have to add and Access via Files tab.
    2. Those that you have to install via installer and afterwards be added to your libraries tabs.
    3. Those with the .nicnt file, which makes them addable via add library.

for 1. You wont get this error message.
2 and 3 have to be added in Order to Access them

Would you be so kind and explain how I would go about adding this east meets west pack into my library? As you can see in the included screenshot, it indeed has a .nicnt file in the library and from what you say in #3, it should be able to just be added to the library. Yet still I can't add it in kontakt or use the database to play them since I get the "needs to be added to library error". How do I use the "installer" if these libraries don't include an actual installer? I know these are noob questions but I'm brand new to the cracking scene, and have used many cracked plugins, yet only kontakt is giving me issues.

The weird thing is the libraries that I was able to load have the same file structure and .nicnt file as the library's that don't load, so I'm just confused on why some librarys load and others don't when the file structure is basically the same. Thanks in advance.

It's an "East West" encryption scheme, and I'm unsure of a workaround to add just EWQL RA. But I do know a fix that works. In order for EWQL RA to work you also have to have EthnoWorld 5 Pro as well. Which includes: Ethno World.5 Voices, and EthnoWorld.5 Instruments. If you have those two, and add them, then add EWQL RA, it does work.

Thanks! I'm going to try that right now. Based off of what you said, is it encryption on some libraries that won't make them work? I have a few good drum libraries like "Analogue Drums" but no matter what I try I still get the "needs to be added to library" error. Are their any other libraries that you know of that might help others load?

As far as I know only EthnoWorld 5 Pro acts this way. My advice is before adding, create a folder called "EthnoWorld 5 Pro" and then 3 subfolders within that folder as follows: Ethno World.5 Voices, EthnoWorld.5 Instruments, and EWQL RA, with their respective libraries within each. It seems to work fine that way.

As for the others that won't add for you, have you checked if the SNPID entries on the XML files within the Service Center folder match the SNPID entries within the libraries nicnt file? I'm unsure where it is on a Mac, but in windows it's here:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

If youve never done that, just open the nicnt and the xml files each in a separate notpad window and look for the SNPID line, and make sure they are both the same. If they are different add the nicnt files SNPID number to the XML file and save.

I found a link to EthnoWorld 6, would that work just like 5? Also, some libraries don't have a .nicnt file, but are made up of .nki and .nkm files. I assume I can't add these to the library because they don't have a .nicnt file? I'd have to use the data base to load the sounds in this case, correct?

I haven't, and to be quite honest I have no idea how to find out if they match. I'm still a noob who is trying to learn. If you have the time to explain I'd very much appreciate it! I am using windows 10. Thanks again.

I'm unsure if EthnoWorld 6 would work, but I do know 5 has been tested working. You can surely give it a try .

I think I get the jist of it, thanks. Say they don't match, would I just edit the .nicnt file to match the xml?

The other way around. Make sure the line in the .nicnt file is used.

    Correct

    Of course :) for example
    NI symphony solo brass
    NI symphony brass Ensemble
    NI ACTION STRINGS
    NI ACTION STRIKES
    Vir2 acousti6s
    Vir2 BaSiS
    Vir2 electri6ity
    Vir2 VI one

And a lot more. I think a lot of the komplete Stuff and so on. Would have to take a deeper look if you'd like to know exactly

I'm Sorry, I thought i'd not know it because it is EAST WEST QUANTUM LEAP (EWQL). I thought east to West is some library i dont know.
Well I have RA but didn't Put it on my drive so far, so I dont know if it would cause me the Same issues. I saw you already got advice.
Just let me know if it worked for you and if Not i'll try it for you.

The way you go about it is usually defined by Release. If you have no installer and no .nicnt they are usually libraries you Access via Files tab. You can make your own nicnt Files and add it then to library tab with an old Version of Kontakt. Then you can Access them like your normal nicnt library.

If you have an .exe and .bin Files, those are the libraries you have to install.

And last the normal .nicnt lib which you add via add library.

I didnt go into Detail in my First responding because I dont really Remember which Version 5.7.3 was.
I know there was a gap between 5.6 and 5.8 where you had no Button to add libraries and had to work around with older versions but for the Most Part this was fixed then.
The question here is: Do you have an add library Button in your Kontakt Version?

    If not:
I'd recommend you to update to 5.8.1 which I am using, then you should Not have Any problems.

There could be many reasons for your problem. One could be having a library that has been batch resaved by a newer Version of Kontakt than you use. Thats another reason for updatIng :)

And yes like @Nana Banana Said, you could have problems with interferring snipd's especially with custom .nicnt s

I would probably First Check my .xml Files, see if RA is Already added Once or multiple times and delete those RA xml Files and afterwards try to add it again.

When I had problems with Snpid s, it usually makes Kontakt ask me for the location of the library with rhe Same Snpid i already had added, or maybe replaced it. So if this is not whats happening to you, I dont think this is your problem but I could be wrong.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I have yet to come across any libraries with an installer. They all are folders with .nki and .nkm files, and some do have a nicnt file. The libraries that don't have a .nicnt file seem to play when added through the database, but I would like to add them as a library.

I have a few more questions for you. Is there a specific program you can link me to that creates .nicnt files? What is the best version to use to upgrade to, some seem to say unlocked, some use a keygen. I'm not asking for a link, just the name. Also, I see people talk about the portable version saying it is the least buggy, what are the main differences of the portable version? Ethno World 6 loaded fine, but I still get the library not found error for EQWL. I'll check the xml file now. I thought the point was to be able to add any libraries. Lastly, is the upgrade process just an easy installer like most other vsts or is their a process of moving folders to keep your libraries in tact? Thanks for the reply in advance.

YW. You should be able to install it anywhere. If you do install it somewhere and want to change the directory at a later time, you can move the whole library directory to another location, open Kontakt, and the installed library will ask you to locate it, after which Kontakt will remember it's new location.

    No Problem :winker:

Yes, the ones with the .nki and .nkx Files or none of that are usually the libraries you Access via Files tab. But dont take this for granted because some of the libraries with installer are afterwards installed with .nks and .nkx but no nicnt and ARE added to the libraries tab and im Not 100% sure but I think I got myself a few libraries without nicnt that were "addable".
But usually you know it from the Demos and Stuff or by the Company. For example 8dio and strezov libraries tend to have no nicnt Files but thats not a rule.

The database is meant for your Favorite Patches and to make you being able to Quick search through presets. I wouldnt keep everything thats added via add library in there because it slows down your Whole instance of Kontakt. Just sayin. I would Access them like I Said via Files tab, but you can use that to your likes.
And yes you can make Them libraries with These tools but I would Highly recommend you to dig a little deeper into that topic because otherwise you might Introduce yourself above mentioned Snpid problems.
I saw @Nana Banana already told you about klc which I think I dont know but im sure will do its Job :)
Anyways id like to answer your questions. It's been a While since I was doing it but I could recommend you following tools:

KLM 3.0 (by DoubleY) or is it the Same as klc? @Nana Banana Help me out :D
    Mini-nicnt
    Kontakt SNPID Lister

These should assure you can make your own nicnt Files without running into trouble but you'll have to know what you do.

And last but not least.. im Not 100% sure anymore but I think I had the Basic Installation of 5.8.0 p2p symlink portable i dont know 100% but one of them since I still have 5.6.5 too which I didn't overwrite.
But looks like I did exactly that with 5.8.0 by 5.8.1 symlink by drag and replace everywhere!(be careful in fl, it triggered 5.8.0 for more than half a year afterwards because I had another copy in i think /program files/native Instruments )

I Hope this will take you further

I've tried that one before. It's a different one  On Topic: Remember when you used to have to manually make registry entries and .nkc/.nkr files to do this? KLM, KLC, and Mini-nicnt are gifts from the heavens compared to the old style

Thanks for letting me know :) so maybe I should give klc a try

Oh yes, I was close to getting goosebumps While reading this
Don't forget to mention the .png wallpapers.
I still can't add True strike 2 and cant even see the gui because I think I totally messed it up hahaha

But you're absolutely right, These tools are a Dream compared to the nightmares i had from doing it the old fashioned way :shalom:
