I was just about to install the new Waves version 14 v21.09.22 .
I have uninstalled the old waves Central 13.3.2 before installing the new Waves version.
During the installation of the Central version 14 v21.09.22 the installation still shows me 13.3.2.
I have the latest release from the Sister site.
Do you have the same or similar problems ?

I just installed the version testwise anyway to see if it is the current plugins after all, unfortunately they are not.
I use for example the waves NX Germano, and there the new headphone presets unfortunately do not appear, so I assume that for some reason the old plugins of the thirteenth version were installed.

If you need NKS, you need to install VST2 too. Don't forget adding VST2 path in Komplete Kontrol.
Scan or rescan plugins from your DAW. If you updated, complete rescan is recommended.

Restarting Background Waves Servers

This is useful when background process are doing something wrong.
When background servers are not working correctly, following issue happens.
* Plugin scan fails (WaveShells return 0 plugins)
* Preset Browser does not work
* COSMOS (also in CR8 Sampler browser) does not launch, or exits with no license error
Run included "R2R_Kill_Waves_Background_Process.cmd".
Run these EXE manually.

R2R Version runs nice here. I never use VR since i got Problems when i used their Stuff some while ago and don't trust this Ressource anymore.

But the new Headphones are not in the R2R release as this Update was released today.

 

What was the Problem with the VR release ? Do you get busted or something ?

 

If possible, always install the latest version. If the possibility exists rather take R2R instead of V.R..
R2R is mostly more stable and you don't need the Waves Central anymore. The latest R2R runs faster than the V.R version.

Before you install, always uninstall the old version completely and save your presets before.
Always strictly follow the enclosed NFO.

 

No not busted but there where processes after the Installation which wanted to install something else but my Voodoo Shield blocked it. Never had Problems like this with R2R,RET and so on.

I always check via GlassWire where Connections are going to be safe and Voodoo Shield to see everything in the Background which wants to install without beeing noticed.

 

For all those who may have the same problem.
I have now made it so.
Downloaded Waves central from the official site and installed it.
All products in the central selected that I want, installed and rebooted.
Then just run the VR patch.
The new version with the headphone presets now works.

 

Anyone have any luck with the latest Waves Complete V14 RET version for M1 Monterrey? I keep getting WLE.bundle is damaged when I try to register the plugins. Tried Quarantine and code sign it, but no luck.

I post in "point" just to be clear and concise.
1)I tried two different version (R2R, VR)
these two version are mentioned here:

2)I can install without problems, but licenses don't activate.
3) Instructions speak about some folder that (at 9/2022) don't exist after installation; especially:
a) Library/Application Support/Waves
b) Library>Application Support>Waves>Modules
4) In Library>Application Support... the only existing directories are "Waves Audio" and "Waves Central"

Do you know something about that? Or do you have and updated version?

I actually got everything to work with the latest RET version, following the attached instructions. But had to use Waves AU Reg Utility 12.0.0, because there wasn't one in the RET download. Don't know if there is an updated version of the Utility, because the only thing that won't work is COSMOS. (And Clarity running native on Silicon. Only runs thru Rosetta. But I'm not bothered about it). I'd just really like to get COSMOS working if anyone has any ideas

If yes, can you just tell me if your crack folder looks like this ?
You can see that I have no AU Reg Utility too, so if you know where i can find it.. it'd be nice!


(To make sure I did nothing wrong when i download and extract the files, cause i had several problem further in the setup, and waves still doesn't work for me)

 

Yep that’s exactly what I had. I just used the V14 Utility that’s in the Applications>Waves>V14 Plugins folder. I also used the V12 utility from a previous download, and it worked as well. Just can’t get COSMOS working.

 

legit Waves on its own is often a trouble;
if you're doing any major upgrade (from 13 to 14 for ex.) always remove everything previously installed,
now it's possible to use menus in Waves Central to uninstall things or even cleanup all Waves traces - not everything gets removed though, additional paths to clear manually are mentioned in the Waves Uninstall article:

if you have Waves account, you can download and install anything, it seems to give less problems than Offline installers (even those official from Waves website seem to be quite picky on matching Waves Central version and user permissions, for some reason)

 

AU Reg Utility is part of install process of any Waves plugins, if you see V12 then it means you didn't properly uninstall all older Waves plugins (v12 v13 etc..), redo the whole process and it'll work

About Cosmos, according to the text by RET we have to put a file (index.js) in a folder named "COSMOS", but this folder doesn't existe in my mac after the installation of Waves Central. It was the same for you ? You created this folder ?

 

Didn't have the "COSMOS.app" in the folder Waves (in Applications) either .. Are we supposed to create those files/app to make the crack working ?

 

you can't have Cosmos when you clearly didn't install it

 

I don't understand what Cosmos is, is it an extern application or is it inside of Waves ? Because when I install Waves central I can't find some Cosmos app
