Obviously I'm using the ancient v2.9 version because of you know why.

I'm trying to do a bulk convert, by converting an Ensoniq and/or other format CDs (.iso image) into other formats, mainly into "Akai S5000 Programs". When I click Translate, it seems to do the job ok (haven't tested the results though), but the whole folder / directory structure is lost and everything becomes root level - this is obviously unusable. Does anyone know what "Destination" options I can or need to select on this old version that would keep the original hierarchy? I mean, for example: Root > Keyboards > Synths > Analog etc.

Another thing - does anyone by the way know, why Awave says "Not an Ensoniq CD-ROM" when I try to open one of those in there, using Daemon Tools? Weird, because they certainly are

 

i dunno but i really would like to kno if it is able with translator 6....

you cant open it with daemon....only extract it with cd extract or extreme sample converter..

 

I would be very surprised if it didn't work better on the later versions. But I don't need this software that much that I would pay 150 EUR for it... But as it is, using v.2.9 for the job seems useless, or like you said, a "slave job"...

No I meant Awave Studio by FMJ - it is also supposed to open and convert Ensoniq, Akai and Roland format CDs. I've loaded an image with Daemon Tools, but Awave says it's "Not an Ensoniq CD-ROM"... It's odd because I recall being able to do this in the past.

Nope, not what I'm trying to do. I need to convert Ensoniq (and other format) CDs (or CD images) into the Akai S5000 format specifically, not into WAVs or Kontakt etc... I guess I could first convert it into some other format and then convert that using another piece of software, like Extreme Sample Converter...

 

the only app that converts into s1000/s3000 akai format is translator....but with s5000 format you could have luck in cd extract...

 

That´s probably the only choice

 

ok i had test... ..i did in cd extract...opened whole iso and did convert 1 programm and converted it in to 1 wav 1 akp program file..
i thin in cd extract you can do proper batch convert but i dunno for sure...you got luck its s5000...convert into s1000 s3000 is not possible in cd extract..

 

SineWave burns iso images to cd and put cd in scsi cd rom and voila..

edit but i dont kno if you have scsi chain...thats a whole new or old story
