Here it is. Just make a restore point. I think that Microfuck included this on a latter update. You will know if you have it once you try to install it.

    Note: Replace .zip with .rar

Knowing that Microfuck is going to stop support for Windows 7 I have made it a habit to save all the performance oriented updates. As long as developers continue to support Windows 7 I plan to keep it as my OS.

    Agree
Apparently microsuck wants to copy Crapple as much as they can.
I bet in a few years backward compability will be a "no no" so if you havent got the latest windows version your screwed.

Read this before installing these updates:wink:

I am attaching the updates that you requested simply as a matter of courtesy. The fact that I am doing this does not mean that I agree with nor recommend the installation of these updates without first investigating whether you need them. If these updates are not found in the Microfuck site, it is for a reason. The update either has been superseded, embedded, or removed. Let us keep in mid that Service pack 1 was released on February 22,201 therefore many hotfixes were included in that package. Moreover, SP1 was followed by hotfix KB277511.This hotfix rollup contained 90 hotfixes that improved the overall performance and system reliability of Windows 7 SP1-based computers.
The question of whether to update or not your operating system is a controversial one, and has been priorly discussed in this thread. Contrary to what some people may tell you, not all updates are bad. Conversely, not all of the updates are good nor needed. It comes down to finding out what your system needs in order to improve its performance.
I have my own method of updating my system, and never had a problem. My method takes time and patience but it is rewarding. I painstakingly have gone through the whole Microfuck Update Catalog, and read what every update will do to improve my system...as it is configured. I run Windows 7 Lite, and many updates, therefore, are not necessary. The service for which they have been designed is disabled or not even installed. Because system configuration varies from user to user it is up to each user to examine the updates, and only then decide which one to install. Finally, when installing an update, take your time. Do one at a time. Create a restore point. Wait a day or two to make sure its installation has not affected your system adversely.

    Note: Replace .zip with .rar

WSUS, the AutoPatcher, etc., all omit the hotfixes because they use “Windows Update Agent” (WUA) to determine the patches to install on client/target side. The best thing to do is to download the hotfixes from http://thehotfixshare.net/board/index.php?act=home while they are available. Also, run the WSUS Offline or AutoPatcher and download every update from Microfuck. It would be saved as a ISO. Just in case. You never know when you are going to need any. I run the WSUS every month.

Sure but the link above is good only for specific KBs, and not the entire set.

I still have my Win7 lite iso by IvanK backed up somewhere, but I remember there was RDP functionality removed, in addition to the bloatware, which was a bit of a downer, as I had multiple PCs running in a cluster. Also it was build on a Ultimate edition, so all my Pro keys were unusable. I got around NTLite trying to build similar version, but it wasn't quite comparable to the gem made by Ivan so I gave up.

If you need that Win7 Lite let me know. You don't even need keys with it. As to the hotfixes the Enterprise Hotfix contains 90. I will post the list.

Heh, I haven't needed the keys even for Ivan's release, but having a genuine OEM license flapping in the breeze with "pirated" Ultimate installed haven't seem like the best course of action for me. I was aiming for a lite version which would take my Pro OEM key and accept updates. Sadly that didn't work.

Here is the link to the WSUS Offline http://download.wsusoffline.net/
WSUS deals with endpoints that don’t have direct access to the internet using a process called WSUS Offline Update. However, this system only installs “critical” and “security” status patches, leaving the endpoint out of sync with the full set of patches available from Microsoft. The Anoop WSUS Offline Tool fixes that deficit.

This tool schedules all available patches for the endpoint device type and delivers them from a central download server. Anoop C Nair, who wrote the tool, recommends it only for development and sandbox environments, not for live systems. Essentially, the tool will flag offline machines for all updates to be installed, not just the higher-status ones.
