    Synapse Obsession has been released!

Obsession brings the power of a great polyphonic vintage synthesizer to your fingertips. It combines the astute modeling of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), voltage-controlled filter (VCF) and voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with a comprehensive individual voice control that has never been done before in this detail.

Obsession is a powerful vintage synthesizer emulation. It starts out with the classic synth design comprised
of two oscillators, a switchable two/four pole low-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators and two LFOs,
all meticulously modeled from the hardware.

    Key features:

    - Two part engine with 8 or 16 voice boards.
    - Single/Dual/Split modes.
    - High-quality effect block with Delay, Reverb and Chorus.
    - Precise control of many sound parameters per voice board.
    - Stepped LFO with freehand drawing for rhythmic sequences.
    - Scalable GUI, Retina-ready.
    - Support for Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE).
    - Includes 420 patches by leading sound designers.

Obsession is available in our shop for only $99. A free 30-day trial may be downloaded as well.

Damn I can't stop this from playing, where were you all these years? Obsession Ezbass and BR KH-COMP1, best findings 2020 hands down.

This is almost enough for me to pull the trigger right now. I'll try the demo first but man, I'm afraid I'll end up getting this.

Thanks for the news... I guess :)

It looks cool. Not too expensive. Demo is ok, I am not super impressed. It's kinda tame. I do not necessarily hear things you can't do with other synths. But I am also tired of all these 'vintage' like VSTs. So I am a bit biased :) Ready to be surprised though.

You said at least half of what I wanted to say. But still, it is nice to have an Oberheim emu that sounds great at disposal. Especially because Arturia's one doesn't really cut it, for me at least. I feel very bored with additive synthesis, too. Someone should make a software Kurzweil K2000, it's got incredible synthesis possibilities, that would be awesome. But currently wavetable synths are all the rage. Maybe when that passes, developers will try to make something more flexible, like VAST synthesis in K2000.

Thank you for the heads up @Exidus!
    Just tried the demo.
Sounds great, and I didn't think much of the Arturia one anyway.
This is almost a no-brainer at the price! But I've already spent way too much this month, have to wait a week or two.

Prolly my favourite dev, no brainer rly if you have the cash - take my money! :D Synapse produce effective (usually unparalled) efficient emus and don't spend 90% of the dev time (and processor cycles) on pointless, intrusive AP. Good, easy to read / perfect size (hi DPI) UIs too, but that's prolly just me. Lots of lessons for other devs, but it seems those guys haven't learned how to listen.

    Great comparison test.
But more importantly, Unify! Wtf? I'm sold! Didn't even know about it.

The K2600 and also Roland's V-Synth. Two different animals, offering a rich sound palette...

Sorry for the delay Smoove haha.
The truth is that if you usually work with multis and you like Skipy's libraries, unify is quite powerful. If you want to get deep you can too. The demo is worth doing. I am more of Akai Vip, which gives you the presets of your favorite synths
(without even opening them!) and it is great to improvise with it. Although Unify is more powerful, especially with the latest update. I am a big fan of their libraries(omni), but it depends on the vibes of each one. What has been said proves the demo mate.

EDIT: here we had discussed the topic https://audiosex.pro/threads/unify-by-pluginguru.51618/

So hang on, we have to use the VST version of Obsession in Unify, but can Unify be an AU in Logic?
    I doubt it, somehow.
Okay, for on-stage I'm prepared to use another daw for this, but I won't learn a new daw after 20 years just so I can compose and record with this!
What's the word on this, man?
