    One question I have though...
I had this little workflow in Reaper, when coming up with chord progressions...
I'd make a simple melody, then run a script to convert the notes into diatonic chords.
And then from there to EZ Keys or Scaler.

Any idea how to do that in Studio One?
All the macros I've seen are chromatic.
I've tried making a custom macro in which I have it create chords (minor or major) then Assign to scale (snap).
    BAD IDEA!

I'd expect someone to have by now created diatonic functions that are respective of chosen scale.
Hopefully I can find what I'm looking for, some macro, script, or something.

    Anyways, thanks again.

    Edit....

It does seem that the Chord Assistant might be my only hope.
However, it is crashing Studio One. Great :(

    Hi great @mono :beg:
Edited: forget the following, guilty again of not reading thoroughly
[Is there something new besides your last fix on that thread some weeks ago? I haven't tried yet Studio One X with S1 v4.5 but if there's something new I would be interested.]

    Cheers brother ;-)

In fact that's a pretty accurate analogy, my PC is ancient :lmao:

But what I meant is that the first scan takes ages but the next ones work fine. I don't really know if it's related to the problem mentioned here. And fixed by cool guys like you and @mono.

Why 4.1.2, but not 4.1.4? Is there any specific reason?

Hi, i have made a Macro that you maybe will like:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/lx838ef1a...Scale corrected - Preview.studioonemacro?dl=0

    Workflow:
In Music Editor, set the Scale you wanna be in.
In Music Editor, create a Melody (so, some single notes after each other).
In Music Editor, select all the Melody notes.
    Execute the Macro.
    Outcome:
Minor 7th Chords will be build on the Melody Notes, complete with an extra added "bottom note" (meaning: each melody note duplicated 1 octave lower, for more "power" in the Chords).
But: These created Chords are then automatically snapped to the set Scale, meaning: they always will be diatonic and therefore, they could change from a Minor 7th chord to a different type of Chord "after the fact". (which is "in key" with the set scale).
Also, the Macro automatically plays the Created Chords, so see this as a "preview" function.

This Macro works for me, i hope 4u too !

Some of you are still having problems with the scanner after the suggestions that were mentioned. Most likely the issues is caused by having the Plugin Scanner blocked from accessing the internet. You need to unblock it. Blocking the Scanner was not suggested explicitly or implicitly.

Still not finding all plugins. Mainly VST2.

Reset blacklist & added Native Instruments plugin folder to scan list. Seems to be okay now.

Guess a folder comparison is in order. Good that it is not my main DAW. Just an experiment for now.

Hello, I am sorry if I sound helpless and also right off the bat I would like to thank Pirate and some of the others for being cool and helping fools like me get things working.
OK, I am also experiencing the plug in scanning issue with S.O. 4.5/4.5.1 (I most recently tried the R2R 4.5.1 release) . I'm on Windows 10. I am always offline so I installed the Microsoft Loopback Device as suggested, but I still have the scanning error. Could it he because my firewall is turned off and nothing has been entered into it? I figured if I am offline then there is no reason for the firewall to be on. Or could it be that I haven't turned on the Loopback Device somehow? I installed it just as Pirate said to, but still have the same problem. Thank You to any advice from anybody. I really appreciate it.
Have A Good Day My Friends!

Most likely that is exactly what it is. However, I have the R2R version on another system which I use for testing and the scanner works when offline AND without the Loopback adapter. If you are firewall is off, it is not going to interfere with it. You don't need a firewall.

Despite not being blocked (although S1 is) the pluginscanner (4.51 et al) craps out (FTS, blacklists) on every VST/i. It's been like that since 4.0 tho. S1 3 works fine, pretty sure it's not user error, every other DAW works fine. It would've been nice to try it, considering the hype, but it feels like S1 is still in beta.

If you have not tried it you should, then you would be better situated to give an opinion on it. Version 4.0 is a thing of the past. Just look at the change logs since. Just because there were problems with 4 does not mean the same problems will show up in 4.5.1.
I have not experienced those problems with the scanner. Neither with the patch I uploaded nor with the R2R release. The case of @Roger8176 is an interesting one because there is not even a firewall involved.

I have the R2R release 4.5.1 and no problems. @The Pirate I agree that it works offline without loopback. :like: Now all we need is studio x
