Studio One 4.5.1 Problem...

    I agree with mono....

    This happens if the plugin settings files are corrupt. These are XML files.
    You can find them in: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 4\x64\

    1. First EXIT Studio One!!
    2. Backup and delete all files except the "AudioEngine.settings" and "Services.settings" files.
    3. Start Studio One and let it detect your plugins again.

    It should work now......

    @mono I think he is mixing instructions. I gave him instructions without having to disconnect, use Loopback and then he says that he was not online. But even if he was online, according to him he cleanup all the registry entries and files associated with Studio One. Therefore, then @Marsupilami suggested a fix that has worked for everyone who had the same problem. My suggestion to him would be to create another user account and install Studio One in it repeating all the steps I gave him.

    @mostard Uninstall Studio One following the instructions I previously gave you, including deleting all registry entries. Now, create a new user account and log off from current account. And proceed to install Studio One following my instructions.Block it at host file. Disable loopback. Remain on line. Once it is installed, I want you to install a couple of third party plugins and see if Studio One can scan them.

    Your last proposal seems very interesting and I will put it into practice ...
    But first, I will try the solution of Mono which consists of replacing the PluginScanner.exe ...

  6. @mono As I see, you can use fullscreen on SO4.5.1 with Studio One X ? Could you tell me that how did you do it possible ?

    I have tested all the proposals you have given me all so generously ...
    Unfortunately, nothing changes so I thank you all for trying but I think I will make a complete reinstall of my system ...
    I do not want to make you crazy because of my problems.
    I assure you, I have many years of experience in computer music and I know the Studio One well and I am now convinced that there must be a problem with my windows 10 and its damn updates ...

    Unfortunately, I can not go back to previous version because I have exceeded the 10 days allowed, so I will have to reinstall everything and I have for a week and every time a plugin will be recognized, I will make an image.
    It will be long and tedious but it is the only solution ...

    Thank you all for your immense kindness and if I can, I will do the same with you if the opportunity arises ...:winker::wink::like:

    Hey guys, apart from the issue that came with 4.50 (you need to be online for plugin scan to succeed) I found another workaround for when a plugin can't be found. It's not an elegant solution but so far it works. When Studio One can't find a plugin, what I do is, I create another folder for VST plugins and simply copy the .dll to that new folder, and then add that folder to Studio One's plugin folders. So far, in all four instances where I tried this, it worked, and Studio One found the plugin in the next startup. This is not elegant because it clutters your files, and I don't know if there are plugins that get installed via a .exe file and that depend on being in the exact folder that they were installed to. But as I said, so far this has worked. Probably a lazy solution though :unsure:

    I'm giving up...
    I do not have the courage to redo all the installation of windows, programs, plugins, etc ...
    I will stay as I am and no longer install plugins, that does not stop me from working ...

    Hi, I tried all, I restored my windows 10 that had SO 4.5, installed a new plugin, same thing. This issue began with 4.5, I hope someone find the solution.

    I do not really give up but I am morally tired of trying without result.
    You're right, I'm not going to give up, I'm still looking for myself and for all those who have the same problem.
    I would be happy to be helpful to the community ...:wink:
