Spectrasonics has issued the following software updates for its products:

Omnisphere 2 Software 2.4.1d 4-12-18
Includes the following features and fixes:

Fixes issue where patch loading could be slow in some disk/OS configurations (especially on Windows)
Fixes issue where Pro Tools GUI can temporarily freeze when loading Keyscape patches in Omnisphere
Fixes issue where text-entry can show Chinese characters (only Sonar host, and only on Windows)
Standalone: Fixes issue where Sample Rate menu displays incorrect values when changing between output devices
Standalone: Adds explicit check for the AU component during the standalone startup sequence
Standalone: Fixes issue where ASIO driver selection causes standalone app crash on Windows 10
Standalone: Fixes issue where the Tempo slider interaction forced main plugin window in front of all other windows
Standalone: Fixes issue where it could crash in some rare situations

To the brothers and sisters from the sister site: I can tell you this much, Omnisphere and Trillian are working perfectly as VST and Stand alone! Keyscape works within Omnisphere, too! Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10.

Thanks, Tony...didn't get an email from Spectrasonics, again.

 

YW! You are not alone. I became aware of it because I check with them almost on a daily basis. I talked to 4 other legit users and they were not even aware of the updates. Of course not, they are free! I guarantee you that if it was a paid update we would be getting emails from Spectrasonics everyday.

 

Of course it is. It's the best thing to do for these publicly available updates.

For me the the keygen only works in Omni.

 

I explained that Keyscape would work inside Omnisphere. Both Omnisphere and Trillian work as Stand alone and independent VSTs. Look at this shot of Omnisphere with Trillian and Keyscape updated! By the way, after you update Trillian you dont even need the KG. I was waiting for another member to note so , too.

Omnisphere will not work as a standalone on my system. It's just like it was before it crashes. but no big deal I will just use the vst version

 

It does work as stand alone without a glitch.


Did you patch all .dlls including the ones in Data Folder?

OK that was it. YOu need to patch the dll and there are two of them in the C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit and on in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins

 

So for all other that might have an issue run keygen,
patch vst .dll in your daws vst folder,
Then patch the other 2 dll's in the C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit and in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins.
Then gen code and bingo.

 

I am glad it worked out for you. I will tell my secretary to prepare a bill and send it to you.

 

Thanks again. The missing part is the c:\programdata. If that was in the doc install doc it would have worked. Hopefully this will help others.

In mac, the "patcher" doesn't seem to work on keyscape. I had a prior version "pre-patched" plugs that do work outside omni and If I swapped them around again and then copy the updates in a specific order (which I already forgot) the standalone came back working and also the plug outside omni. As far as the other updates, omni needed to be re-patched and trllian just worked without anything needed. For mac, if anyone has a real patcher that works or at least instructions on how to patch keyscape files on mac, it would be helpful to post over on the other place.

they who have crashes in Ableton:

01. Patch all Omnisphere.dll
(both in you're plugin folder and C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins 64 and 32 bit)

02. Delete Preferences.cfg in:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.7.5\Preferences

03. Open Ableton and rescan plugins and change back to you're usual settings in preferences. If Ableton crashes under rescan do not restart windows just open the Ableton App again and let it finish scan

You should now be able to use Omnisphere plugin and standalone

Another thing that people many times forget: Always patch the .dlls without Omnisphere running. If the app is open and you try to patch the .dll, the patch would not work.
