Things, options or features u would like in the future version (V7) of Reaper.

I have a few, but on top of all that. I'd be happy to see a Session View like Live or Bitwig or others who have the feature. Would be wonderful to use for Live gigs unlike exporting all and using it in other DAW (i now use Live).
I know there is 'Playtime' for Reaper (i own one, has its downside) and other scripts for a live looping functionality. But nothing would compare to having it natively.

having gone from Ableton 10+ years to reaper less than a year ago i can really only think of the clips view for triggering loops independently as well. idc about stock plugins, I have sister site. I can tell you what I think Cockos would benefit from the most for Reaper 7, although it no longer matters to me as much after months of dialing things in. That would be sitting down and figuring out a default setup that behaves similar to other DAWs. I'm talking about... having render options not set to the bare minimum quality hidden behind menus, making the zoom functionality SOMEWHAT similar to every other program, turning autosave on by default- it's CLEAR (to me anyway) that the Justin dude or whoever made that default setup is a genius because some of the decisions make absolutely zero sense to someone like me.

1. Fix the laggy play cursor make it smoother
2. Drum sequencer view like Studio one and Logic
3. Make the Default skin look at least half decent

5. Note length memory basically i want Reaper to remember the previous Note length like Fl studio within the piano roll

Regarding non-linear clips... I remember someone asking it directly to Justin and Justin saying that he wasn't interested in implementing anything of the sorts. Like 2 years ago. Hope he changes his mind one day.

First of all, I'd like Reaper not getting upfront while loading several projects. So you can do something else while it finishes loading all projects.
Also a chord view would be great for composers.
Last but not least, there should be an easy way to download and import actions without connecting reaper to the internet.

There are tons of 3rd party themes, skins, fully customizable. So what's the problem? You think you only can use one standard interface given by cockos? Or what?

 

3rd party skins don't always provide the functionality when they have very different layouts, deeper customization is clunky at best, problem is look of default theme and JS plugins UI,
yea, default interface is the only choice you have when you want to follow video tutorials
