Interesting watch if you don't know how and why the low end Boost + Attenuate knobs interplay on Pultec /style EQs in such a unique manner.
It also goes into a small amount detail on as to why it sounds good to our ears.

I would love to find a channel that does this with many of the hardware emulations out there.... like a channel only confirming or denying the manufacture's claim of "real hardware emulation"

 

Interesting. Was gonna try that plugin, then saw theres an updated version, but in the comments apparently it isnt accurate in the highs? Also wondering if there are any other (paid or free) Pultec emus that nail the hardware and superior to this in 2023?

 

UAD's still the closest afaik, it's also native now so that's cool. Haven't seen new pultec emulations in a while.

If you're interested in that trick, you can approach the massive passive. And if you've mastered the curve, you don't need another emulation.
