Requirements: Either Pultec EQP-1A or MEQ-5 emulations or inspired units like Tube-Tech.
    One vote per person.

I didn't want to clutter the list so i excluded MEQ emulations for now.
Feel free to suggest any additions!

Native Instrument Enhanced EQ is based on a Manley Enhanced Pultec EQ hardware that eventually become a Massive Passive. So Massive Passive is technically a Pultec (on steroid).
Equilibrium, Kirchoff, Red Rock Sound UNIQ all have that Pultec shelves modeled, without the tube gain stage of course.

Acustica Audio White 3 (WSM PEQ-2.0, which is based on the EQP-1A)
Did some blind test about a month ago (matching curves on PD and also in-use fiddling) with a bunch of Pultec inspired stuff and this and the UAD were definetively on top. I ended up prefering White 3 because the low end sounded a little tighter.

Now, considering what's on the list and that sound isn't everything, i'll go with IK EQP-1A. I just feel it does what i want a pultec style thing to do without surprises (good or bad).

Also... "Slate Pultec EQ Strip", does that even exist?

    +1 for Black Rooster.

If Black Rooster has a plugin, I hardly ever go for the alternatives. Excellent sound quality for almost non-existent CPU usage.

Interesting thread, I've always defaulted to my softube PE-1c just because it's the first one I got and became used to it, but there's a few here I feel like I should check out.

I like Overtones compressors but never tried the EQs yet, if they have low cpu usage like the comps that could be a good option for sure on busses/return tracks.

NoiseAsh seems to get consistent good reviews on here so I think it's time I revisit them.

I've never even heard of Tim Petherick. New plugs or old secret?

Honestly I think it's a good thing that everyone has their subtle differences in preference, better off that way then everyone using all the same stuff all the time.

Kind of, TimP is a guy who makes libraries for a plugin called Nebula, which is basically Kontakt for EQ's, compressors, etc. Nebula as a concept is fairly old but never reached "mainstream" status (if you see it in action you'll probably see why).

IK's also has MS, just sayin'. I actually just realized most of these don't have an MS mode. Hmmmm .

I would say the same about Overloud's GEM plug-ins. They sound superb, with very little CPU usage. Sure, not all of them are superb, but most are.

AFAIK, no. I'm guessing OP is referring to either Custom Lift or Revive, but none are even close to a Pultec.
