when (see R2R txt File for Installation for Iris2 WiN)
I didndt have Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable installed ( i got 2010.2008...2017)
must I install it ? and when yes which Files from the Microsoft site ?
Only the second file or also the first one ? and for what are these files

The VC++ Runtimes are libraries that Microsoft Visual C++ programming language depends on to perform basic Windows functions. The Library must match the particular version of C++ that the developer used when building the software. You can expect to acquire a fair number of vaguely similar VC++ runtimes on a well populated audio workstation. They are quite safe, and having versions you don’t actually use won’t hurt other than using up a bit of disk space.

The version you should use depends on the kind of computer you are running. Arm is for an ARM based installation, x86 for 32bit Windows, x64 for 64 bit Windows.

what is ARM ?
So I must install for my WiNx64 the second File ? for Iris2 ?

 

ARMs are the chips used in mobile phones.

Win x64 sounds right. If it wont run the installer, you need Win 32. Simples.

 

no arm is for ARM powered tablets

 

just install the other two

 

VSU4\vcredist_arm.exe - for ARM powered Tablet PCs.

VSU4\vcredist_x64.exe - For the 64-bit plugins and standalone. (AFAIK, PC having processors of Intel, AMD, Nvidia)

VSU4\vcredist_x86.exe - For the 32-bit plugins and standalone. (AFAIK, PC having processors of Intel, AMD, Nvidia)
