    It seems like members with Windows OS are constantly having issues with Microsoft Visual C ++ which many applications require to function correctly. A possible solution can be found at

    https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_runtime_installer.html

    This package will install the following:
    V.56.jpg

    This utility is specifically intended to expedite the entire tedious download(s) with only one simple click and quickly completes the entire process within just a couple of minutes. Simply right-click and choose "Run as Administrator". While it might work without running as administrator, some have reported it was required.
    As you may already know, often when you install the Visual C++ Libraries from 2005, it places one of its DLL files (msdia80.dll) incorrectly in the root folder of the largest accessible partition with free space. Then you would have to manually move that file to the correct folder and edit the registry entries for it to point to the correct location. But now by using Visual C++ Runtime Installer (All-In-One), all the files are placed correctly in their right locations - saving you time and potential aggravation.
    Runtimes included are the latest full Visual C++ Runtimes for 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2017.

    NEWER VERSION V.7
    https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/multipack_visual_c_installer.html (Major Geeks notes that this one only has been tested in Windows 10) This new package will install the following:

    Multipack Visual C++ version 0.7.jpg

    EDIT: Some members have kindly provided us with the links to other packages:

    Link by @tothedub https://tiny.cc/vcredist (this is another update of the versions from Major Geeks) This package will install the following:

    NONE whatsoever. I have used it a couple of times without ANY issues. Also Windows will automatically create a restore point.

    The one I posted is the one I have used. I cant be recommending something I have not used. The latest one are always available with updates but they don't solve the issue with msdia80.dll and will eliminate some older versions. Moreover, I dont rely on Microsoft to fix any issues with its own OS. There is a newer one at Major Geeks but has been tedsted only on Windows 10 https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/multipack_visual_c_installer.html As earlier said, since I have not used it so I can't recommend it.

    The updates are for software compiled using new Microsoft visual studio, which most of the software are. New versions are separated from the older ones, so you do not need to test anything.

    install visual c ++ 2005. 2008. 2010 2012. 2013 and 2017. 2015 is not necessary because 2017 is an update of 2015. after that very careful when installing some software. because many comes with the old visual c ++ version. if installed cause system conflict

    Windows x64 need visual c++ x86 and x64
    Windows x86 only visual c++ x86

    That is correct but as soon as you install 2017 that will uninstall 2015.

    Why remove the ones already installed with Major Geeks installer? To me it does not make any sense at all. More so if it is working. Only thing that needs to be installed is the latest update. It is just common sense.
    The latest from Major Geeks will remove everything and install these:
    Multipack Visual C++ version 0.7.jpg
    Whether everything I have installed and working would work if I unistall what I have and install what you are telling me is something I am neither ready, nor willing, to find out. As the saying goes 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'

    Oh my...
    Get the real deal.
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/repack-visual-c-redistributable-runtimes-2018-10-24.76588/
    Download:
    https://tiny.cc/vcredist

    This will UNINSTALL not needed packages (= duplicates versions numbers) and install latest + it is allmost 0day updated/up to date.
    Seeing you have so many installed, might better use it with cmd switches first, to be sure to get rid of all the crap.
    VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe /aiU then VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe /y
    Normally it should take care of it when you run .exe but in your special case, might have few leftovers lol

    - AIO Repack for latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes, without the original setup bloat payload.

    - Built upon VBCRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe by @ricktendo64

    - The process is handled by a windows command script, which runs hidden in the background by default.

    - Before installation, the script will check and remove existing non-compliant Visual C++ Runtimes, including the original EXE or MSI setups, or older MSI packages versions.

    - The uninstallation option/script will remove any detected VC++ runtimes (except UCRT).

    - Windows XP support is partial, the pack will install and detect latest runtimes versions, but it will not check and remove non-compliant versions.

    - You can extract the installer file with 7-zip or WinRar to a short path, and run Installer.cmd as administrator

    - Visual C++ Redistributables (x86/x64)
    2005: 8.0.50727.6229
    2008: 9.0.30729.7523
    2010: 10.0.40219.473
    2012: 11.0.61135.400
    2013: 12.0.40664.0
    2017: 14.16.27012.6

    - Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86/x64)
    10.0.60833.0

    - Legacy Runtimes (x86)
    Visual C++ 2002: 7.0.9975.0
    Visual C++ 2003: 7.10.6119.0
    Visual Basic Runtimes

    - Universal CRT:
    complementary part of VC++ 2017 redist.
    inbox component for Windows 10.
    delivered as an update for Windows Vista/7/8/8.1, either in Monthly Quality Rollup, KB3118401, or KB2999226.
    installed with VC++ 2017 redist for Windows XP.
    this repack will install KB3118401 if UCRT is not available.

    - VC++ 2017 runtimes are binary compatible with VC++ 2015 and cover both VS 2015/2017 applications.

    @tothedub Thanks for your contribution. It seems like everyone has " the real deal". [EDITED the content of spoiler is not what the package contains]I don't think there is the perfect package. They all seem to differ as to content. Therefore, the only reasonable suggestion is to stick with whatever works for you.

    BTW, the one you provided us with is based on the one from Major Geeks.

    Here's content installed by the package:

    [IMG]

    You might want to read the MDL thread...instructive.
    Also if you click on "author" (burf) in majorgeek, see to which site it redirects...
    So YES it is the real deal.

    And further in Burf's thread, abbodi1406 comment...
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...taller-by-burfadel.72953/page-13#post-1462365

    The new one is based on ricktendo64 script (another MDL member...)

    Anyway, do what you like, as you said...

    This is wrong! (I am engineer.)
    when somebody makes a software with 2015 version, you need the exact redistributable or SDK they used for running the software properly. The point of keeping updating old 2015 versions are that they just optimize the SDK, without changing how the compiler may interpret the code, or how user use SDK to run the release software.

    I dont want this to become a pissing contest because I, personally, have nothing to gain if or if it isn't the real deal. In case you did not notice both packages are the same with only exception of the 2017 update. The reason is that they are based on the script by Burf @burfadel @ MDL (thatguy91 @ guru3D). So your "real deal" is the same as the other "real deal". They are the same.
