hello is anybody aware of an ilok 1 (or 2) emulator ?
I want to buy and install the software DFADER from devil technologies but , I live in SE Asia country where no ilok are available easily , and the soft already expensive so to spend 50$ in addition for ilok just to use it...
as it is working with all ilok I was wondering if an old emulator have been released so I could install and use this useful software

Also if anybody knows an alternative to this soft working with cubase why not

Anyway let’s continue to the topic , as the team snd made in fact a patcher for demo plug on ilok, it is not what I was looking for , so the question remain:
- any ilok 1 emulator ever been released ?
- if not is there any alternative as DFADER soft ?

It's not so simple. There is no general emulator/crack for the iLok. Your specific plugin would need to be cracked.

I've seen a specific iLok dongle emulator for an old version of Waves (it was a huge pain in the ass, as you had to remember to "switch" it on every time before loading up your DAW, or the plugs didn't work), but never a general iLok emulator. Seems like that would be the Holy Grail of k's.

 

As @Iggy said, there is no generic ilok emulator. Each license has to be tackled specifically.

I thought there was a deal where you could register software on your computer via the iLok Manager app without the actual dongle, and, as it turns out, there is: Avid Blog.

It pertains to PT 12, but it may also work with your software. You'll still have to open a free iLok account in order to use this feature. As for Cubase ... have you ever gone to the sister site?
