Made an update for library and decided, since it's end of the year that I don't update until I've gone through these 4900 profiles which takes aproximately until the summer . I sort 'em by date and go them thru one by one...I have a softube jmp marshall plugin as a stomp platform. I've got this all figured out! Hope by the time I've completed my task, IK has improved tonex user friendliness and lets me add presets as a bulk and not one by one like now. I've got a feeling I'll be making many presets out of 4900 profiles.

 

I just like searching for pedals and amps I like and going from there.

 

Thing is... is how would ToneX know if something is a bad profile? Or a really great profile of a piece of bad gear? hahaha.

That update is old allready.

 

I'm running ToneX 1.04 on High Sierra, Logic Pro 10.4.8 and although you can't access ToneNet or create your own captures, the available library has a plethora to experiment with. . .

 

I don't think you'd be wanting or needing for any amp models coz any further updates would only be a slight modification over the other, every amp TONE known to mankind is pretty much here, all you need is to experiment with your IR's if you want variety

The way I see it you should probably sit your ass down and wait.

I am, of course, hoping that the people sharing these with us realize they are appreciated and keep sharing them, but coming here to demand it might not encourage them.

 

thanks, good to know. i'm not much of a manual reader as my eyes glaze over if i need to read more than three sentences in how to operate something. years on the internet massively filled my brain with so much mostly useless info, i can't fit anything in there anymore.

two things that have puzzled me...... 1) how do i find just the presets that are available that work for the free version, rather than everytime i go to try a sound, all i get is the 'you don't own this model blah blah'

2). when i first go into tonex, you get that marshall amp head showing up. intitially, it allows me to turn the knobs on the amp. but then when i go dicking around trying another sound... which gives me the i don't own it thing.... and i go back to that marshall head, then all the freakin' knobs are greyed out on me.

Well, I'm guessing the free version is fairly limited.. I'd delete, and go to sister site and grab 1.0.4 and the latest library from here and see what you get . . .

Own Amplitube and a shitload of Ik's other stuff. Haven't decided whether or not to buy tonex. I remember someone saying (not here you can just find the free presets by themselves. When I get a chance I guess I'll contact tech support.

If you really need it you can create a new account, download it from tone.net, export as txp and import in your main account. Or you can create the SQL file with the models and import and even share it here for others.
