Waves updating is to me, dead simple and foolproof if you simply follow the directions. Even an online install.

hey you made it to 1000.. again ! bravo !!

I didn't survive the symlink stuff myself.. what might be easier for others became a tedious exercise in futility...
I'll stick with R2R for now... maybe I'll try the portable Kontakt at some point.. that seemed to get a lot of good reviews

Well, we are too busy installing and uninstalling every week. To use them is too much to ask man...

Thanks, thanks, ... I feel old man... wait, I am old!! :guru::suicide:

I'll send you some notes I've already told some fellow users. It's tricky but when you make it once you make it all of them.

  6. I somehow got it to work, the portable Kontakt version that is, and it's really a good version. Don't ask me how I did it though, I think I was very lucky to get through it and wouldn't remember how I did it anyway, me being me.

This fellas worries have nothing to do with Mac vs PC. He's got software that he relies on, and he's scared he'll lose it if he update/upgrades. My 2 cents . . . use App Zapper and/or uninstall. Clear it all out, and start from scratch with a new version. Worst case scenario . . . it'll cost you some time and effort, but in the end . . . you'll be back up and running. It might be a blessing in disguise for many reasons. Face your fears, mate. Ignore the nasty comments. Ignore the Mac haters.

To OP, you didn't need to deceive, it's a simple and fair question, don't really get why people don't answer you.

I don't have a mac, well I do have a mac but I don't use it at all for sound prod so...Anyway since you come from such an old version it's probably recommanded that you uninstall completely before installing the latest cracked waves bundle for mac.
Waves is properly cracked for both OS, at least to my knowledge, and it's fairly simple to install. Read the comments on the release you dl on AZ to see if others users met difficulties.
Last but not least Waves is known to make things easy, for backward compatibility, if you come from an old version, so your projects made in 9.2 should run with the latest...But just to be safe keep the 9.2 version you originally installed around so that you can come back to it if something goes wrong.

agree with Talmi. install side by side and then when you have checked everything new and shiny works, then you can uninstall the old, "Mock"...

by god if not that nick smells fishy, like something we just got rid of..

I'm def all for a "provocative title" to peak interest, EVEN a little click baity.
but is OP really "frightened" by their situation?
just my 2 cents but I think "concerned" or even "worried" would be a better description
( Not that I think my opinion matters on the subject here though haha lol)

    You are right ...

Op may not be English, there are several languages were the same verb can be used for scared than for concerned or worried.
