I'm running the 5.2019 release, which I need because of new features in Pro-Q³. The installer is dated April 11, 2019, and everything else works fine. It has nothing to do with blocking traffic, either. As I said in my first post, it does it even if WiFi is completely off.

Anyone have any ideas? I keep looking for a new release from R2R, but the 5.2019 is the most recent I can find.

 

You might want to buy the latest version, or just suck up the advice bro.

I'm using latest one by r2r without any issues at all in W 7 Lite. It is v2019.03.13.

same here. BTW what is tone 2 & saurus. and yes fab filter plugins are way way way too expensive. even expensive then FL studio own license or or ableton license. so it is better that they reduce the prizes or we poor musicians have to crack. that's it

 

damn I never even realised that this is 7 years old post I'm on 2019 latest one and I've only registered fab filter pro Q3 and has no problem at all. I mainly use fl p.eq2 so not used fab filter stuff much

 

That version of Pro-Q³ doesn't have the most important feature—sidechaining—working, so there's not really any point in using it.

Any version you downloaded after the 11/30/2018 release will timebomb. A bunch of us went into this extensive discussion recently over at the sister site (on the last FF release for Mac's messages) about it. We actually tested out the plugs in real time, as myself and a few others didn't seem to be having any problems with them. You can load up any of the plugs and they'll work just fine ... so long as you don't touch anything. But mess around with the presets or parameters a bit (and run audio through it), and they will timebomb after 30-45 minutes. Because of the weird way they timebomb, and because of the extensive amount of messing around that it takes to make them go off, it's easy to see why R2R might have overlooked it for so long. It has nothing to do with phoning home, or receiving something from FF's site, it's something to do with the actual patching (or lack thereof). The plugs access your browser even if you're offline, and they also put out white noise. A member on the sister site actually put out a "fixed" version (the aforementioned last release) that wound up having the same problems, so it's probably not an easy fix. Your only safe bet is to stick with the 11/30/2018 release, or hold out until some enterprising team finally gets rid of all the crud code. Or save up and buy the plugs legit.
