So true. One might think he even believes is the same person of the original work... Crazy world!

Oh dang, that's actually fantastic news. Competition is great and, if more and more people jump onboard, it entices even more people to jump on the train. Which means even more projects in the works of a greater variety, which means musicians will likely see things faster. It's no coincidence that there were suddenly Oberheim OB-X's emulations from different people. I feel like software developers all follow the trends. It's why everyone made so many Roland Juno's, Jupiters, and the same things all at the same time.

So if more people jump on the DSP train, it furthers the projects in the works and means other projects also start-up. It's good news all around, especially for the musician.

Trust me, we have no competition! Nobody is insane enough to spend this much free time on a project like this

    except us of course

The M-Audio Venom synthesizer uses a particular family of DSP processors dedicated to audio synthesis.
    - SAMxxxx (?) cannot remember.

It also has a core set of wavetables, as does the MS2000 / MicroKorg, Viruses, etc. etc...

See fan / info page: http://venom-synth.com/

If it doesn't use a DSP563xx, then it's not relevant here.

I don’t know a word of C++ unfortunately, it’s the other team members who are working in the background who are the real brains of the operation. We just brought all these people together and that’s when the real magic started happening :)

By making these kind of threads on various sites is how the team ended up forming :)

Very cool. I know just enough to realize that code is very good and hard to pull off.

So is there anything the team necessarily 'needs' at this stage? more programmers or specialists? clearly, GUI designers are covered haha

We are good for now I guess! I mean it’s like 3:30am for most of the team and the private coding chat is alive and kicking, it looks like something out of the Matrix in there to me at the moment :)

it is not an option, it is the prerequisite.

a fancy GUI for CSound, max, VCV, VST, standlone, iOS (or if you have one, for the SchnZIGrugu synthesizer system for Mgabadibo OS) can be made by millions of people, as it only requries photoshop, the ability to write latin letters and basic understandment of geometry and arithmetics.

but first you have to have a working piece of software which is "technically" ready to adopt it to arbitrary projects, and with all audio or data rate in- and outputs, properly named and described.

if you read out a ROM you usually dont have lines of text there which says "this is the filter of voice #17 and it has a parameter range of 0-1023" like you would have in your buddys VST project file. :)

and even worse, it will be different in every ROM.
