    Using virtualization or compatibilty layers to load all your Windows based audio plugins and apps inside Linux is kind of like buying a cute little Mini Cooper to go pick up your girlfriend there on the left; and then trying to jam her into the trunk to hide her from your friends. So you can tell them about your fast little car. Any speed benefit is lost and hiding reality is just inconvenient.
