I've searched and read majority of threads regarding using the Giuseppe patch on Waves plugins, but none seem to be specific enough for my issue. So, what's my issue?

MAIN ISSUE: The patch isn't working, and the installed waves plugins are opening in demo mode

MY SET UP: MacBook Pro M1, Sequoia 15.4.1, Logic Pro 11.1.2

Patch version: 15.2

RELEVANT INFO: Before using the patch, I've purchased waves plugins in the past, thus I have an established waves/waves central account. Not knowing any better, I installed a bunch of new plugins in wave central (not using the offline method), installed the Patch after the installation was complete, then restarted my computer. I opened logic and the audio unit scanned and all the plugins were there and not in demo mode. I then wanted to add another plugin, so I installed it in WC, and when I opened logic, all the newly installed plugins opened in demo mode.

Other Processes tried after initial Patch installation:

1. Unistalled all plugin's in WC. Created an offline installer, opened the offline installer (install.cen icon) from the folder. Selected the plugins I wanted to install, and installed them. Then installed the Patch afterwards, reboot computer, open logic, and plugins still open in demo mode. This was done on my only waves central profile/account

2. Created a new waves profile, and followed the same offline install, then patch install, reboot computer, open logic and audio scan. Plugins did not open in demo mode. But I forgot to add a plugin during the install process.. added it to the already created offline folder, followed the same process, and when opening logic, the plugins went back to demo mode.

3. Created a 3rd waves profile and went through the same process.. but the plugins are opening in demo mode

So here I am. Three waves profiles and every time I try the offline install process followed by patch install, the waves plugins are opening in demo mode. I can't figure out a solution. I was thinking the purchased licenses and the patch was doing some kind of cancellation... I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. but all the plugins are opening in demo mode.

So, what can I, should I do to get the patch to work?

Sorry for the long message, but I wanted to be as specific as possible.

 

A = Uninstall via Waves Central:

Quit all audio apps.

1. Launch the Waves Central application:
   • Windows: via the desktop shortcut or Start Menu > All Programs > Waves Central.
   • Mac: Applications > Waves Central.
2. Log into Waves Central using your Waves account information.
3. Go to the Settings tab.
4. Under Maintenance, select the products/version you wish to uninstall in the dropdown menu, and click Uninstall.

B = Use a new, unknown email address and create a new Waves account.

C= Download and install the following version:

Waves Complete v2024.06.24 WIN MAC Patched and Keygen

I don't know how to download that version. I type it in and it brings me to a page on this site, but when I go to click on the link in the "download from free file storage" box, it just opens pop up add/windows. Exactly how do I download the below file?

Install Waves.

Replace "WavesLicenseEngine" in
/Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/
Codesign WavesLicenseEngine.bundle if it's required.

Included patched WavesLicenseEngine is v2.5.1.1.
You can check version of your WavesLicenseEngine by seeing /WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/Info.plist

Replace "index.js" in
/Library/Application Support/Waves/COSMOS/HTML/

Replace "app.asar" in
/Applications/Waves/COSMOS/COSMOS.app/Contents/Resources/

- Authorization (Windows/macOS) -
Run R2R KeyGen on Windows.
Input Device ID to the keygen.
You can find the Devices and their ID at Licenses tab in WavesCentral.
Generate *.wle license.
Place *.wle license to
[Computer License (Windows)]
%PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio\Licenses

[Computer License (macOS)]
/Library/Application Support/Waves/Licenses/

[Removable Media License]
(Device)/Waves/Licenses/

you need to reapply the patch everytime you install a new plugin with guiseppe

 

Im new to this process and i think im not understanding some key terms.

The waves complete v2024.06.24 WIN MAC Patched and Keygen. Is this referring to the bundle to download on waves central?

 

That version number indicates that Waves bundle is ~9 months older than Waves Ultimate 15.v25.04.07.U2B.macOS.

The patcher should be at least v 15.9.

Grant full disk access to the patcher under Security and Privacy within MacOS settings.

 

I have patcher v 15.2. How do I get v 15.9?

 

they do not always update the version numbers on patchers if they still work. Try the one you have.

It may, if you are going to use the Waves bundle you already have. To install newest, which is always recommended; you would want to ue the newest patch.

 

@clone I’m lost.

Full transparency, i purchased the waves ultimate bundle from an online sight (dont know the rules for name dropping), lets just say its a warehouse for plugins. I got an email to download the file/folder.. inside the folder was a mac/win folder that each has an installed offline waves folder with the offline .cen and the ultimate bundle.. also is a .dmg for the guiesppe patch. Instructions are not clear nor easy to understand at first.. but as my original post said, i was successful the first try.

Ive restarted the process at least 7 times.. ive uninstalling plugins in waves central.. ive created my own offline folder and used the one provided in purchased folder.. and then installed the patch everytime after installation followed by restarting computer.

at this point, after reading all the different posts from ppl trying to follow this process.. its just more confusing with all the different mac os versions (silicon, m1 to m4, etc) im not sure what applies to me or not.

Is the guiseppe patch (v15.2) all i need along with an offline install folder from waves central?

The steps with the terminal codesign and is. Replacements is confusing as a step process

Im trying to learn this.. but im not sure how to go about doing the process.. and what patch/patches i need

Are you using the LEGAL VERSION or are you using the ILLEGAL version? If I understand you correctly, you have a purchased version. Log in, download everything, and install it. Uninstall everything, back up your data first, delete all leftover files, and start again.

Get the version waves-ultimate-15-v250407-u2b-macos from sister site. people have verified that it works on MacOS with both Apple Silicon and Intel machines running Sequoia. (newest MacOS). It uses the same patcher, but the files are included and it is confirmed to work.

People, or "warehouses" such as those you mention; should not be selling these kinds of things and you should not be buying them. Go ask whoever took your money to help.

 

I purchased a cracked version. It worked intially.. then i added another plugin to the offline folder, installed and re-patched.. but its been demo mode since then. So something must have changed.. before the cracked version i was buying plugins and have an established account, so im thinking there must be something happening between the purchased license and the patch. Ive even created a few new profiles in waves central.. followed the same process.. but still demo mode

After installing Waves, you need to run the included patches for them to work.

@omiac I tried to join but I keep getting a 'wrong code' message.

I downloaded the files (6 links 1.9gb option). the last downloaded folder has the instructions and patch.. so should I use that folders link to install, or do I need to do something with each folder for complete installation?

 

I just tried to join again and this time it went through.

 

Success! found good instructions on the sister site and apps opened up in regular mode. Appreciate the help!
