I'm curious, what do people use to download music these days? I am from the napster and limewire days. I have a spotify account and I've seen DJ applications that say you can mix music from spotify, but how do you download the music from spotify to your computer? I've also seen on the sister site that there are several applications that give you the ability to download music from live streaming services, but which ones the best and easiest to use?

do not download anything illegally, but just in case, here's the information you're looking for: for high-res people tend to use mainly torrent sites and for lower resolution you can go with specific apps for both Mac and windows that let you log in with your spotify, Deezer, etc account and download it straight from there.

I can't believe that there are no longer apps to search and download music. I found websites but it's like B rated artists no ones ever heard of.

I just use youtube. Little finger joint grease on the mouse to extract audio from video. I found all the music I've ever looked for on youtube.

 

If you are looking for torrents:
go to duckduckgo search engine
search for the artist and add the word torrent

Thanks for this, I saw the thread but I thought it was outdated, I was unaware it's up to date. It had mentions of github programs and open source. I'm not sure how to really compile them, same reason I've yet to get to try Nebula because I don't really understand Pyton. I dabbled years ago in visual basic making simple programs, but this was 20 years ago. I have no clue how to do anything with C++, I messed with Borland years ago but these days I couldn't tell you anything about it.

2. Tune the dial to the FM radio station of your preference
3. Insert a tape cassete with brakets on to be able to record
4. Wait for the song you like to be on air, after comercials, jingles and voice over
