wow, Radio's continual posting of irrelevant ChatGPT results has earned him my very first ignore, and I'm pretty sure I'll never miss anything

funkman, as long as the new version is indeed a full install you'll be fine

so another issue im having is, my battery 3 library folders which include 3rd party battery kits.in preferences i have it set to the new hard drive.
on battery when i click on user tab in main interface, all the kits show, but when i click on any i get the missing samples dialog, where i point to folder, then it opens.is there no way for battery to remember the location of the missing samples, because if i open another kit, then go back to the kit that i previously located samples,i have to point to location again.

so back to battrey now library.
i deleted it in revo uninstaller(battery now library i mean) was surprised there was an uninstall option for it.
but i looked in the folder where it was and the battery now folder was stil there. i just manually deleted it.
any i place the most recent battery now library folder in where i wanted it. theres no install, its just a folder.
so in battery interface,in preferences, library, factory, battery now library is still showing location as G, users\ etc etc
that was the location in my old hard drive which i took out.
when i click on the little folder icon beside it in preferences,it does nothing i.e i cant change the location
why can things never be easy!
even clicking on the rescan buton does nothing
