By looking at samples, they don't overlap but what is the difference?

Also when I load up Battery, only the samples in Factory library shows up in the browser. How do I use samples in Now library, other than manually loading one by one?

I wonder about this too.
I don't see anything from the "Now" Library under "Factory".

I've tried importing from the 'New" but have not got them to show in the Factory Library.
BUT ...

The samples from the 'Now" library are also now in the Factory library.

(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery 4 Factory Library) & (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery Now Library)

are present and point to the right location, both show up under the Factory Library button.

The samples from the "Battery NOW' library are also showing up under "Factory" samples.
It does take a moment to show on the first loadup.

I don't know what I did to fix it but now I can't break it.

No they have different content. The "Battery Now" adds 2.1 Gig of extra stuff.
Also take note if you are trying to install the "Battery Now" library included with the VR release, you have to install the v1.0 from 2021.10.29 (only 448 Meg) first or you get an error.

I hope im not hijackin this thread but i also have a question regarding Battery, wich i will be installing for the first time.
IS this the right way to install battery?

- First Native instruments-battery-now-library-v10
- then Native instruments- battery-V4.3.0 CE-VR

If i follow this order will i be up to date regarding factory content etc..?

This is confusing me even more
I've seen peaople comment about getting this error :
Battery Now library cannot be installed, because Battery now library has not yet been installed on this computer.
Please run Battery now Library before this installer.

Upon somebody else commented that we should run the battery now thing first.

Regarding the Battery Now problem: install this first Battery now Library on sister site

If somebody could verify this would be appreciated, once again first time installing Battery so i might be asking Noob questions

for me the Battery Now Library appears in Battery under User folder. Who knows why, I even didn't poin't to Battery Now Lib, happened automatically. Btw, I am using the Bodule 4.30 release, this doesn't need Battery Now.

 

No release really needs a library with it..it should install anyway.
That is how I did it.
There is only an issue that the "Battery Now Library" version 1.0.19 supplied with the VR release, gives an error when you try to install it. That can be corrected by first installing the small version 1.0 "Battery Now Library".

It may be best to choose/create a main location for your Battery Libraries.

If something shows up under the USER folder, it should be listed in Preferences ...
IF it is in a USER location it will not appear when you press the "Factory" button.

VR shared the update setup
the iso is the full installer.

it is the komplete now (free try) library for battery 4.3.0 (free try also)
it is not like a selection library, extract of a bigger, but an addon to battery factory library (not free)

it seems that NI push to use Native Access 3.1.0 and the subscription, even for access to the updated demo setup.
their web site link to 4.2.0 demo only, without anything for the library.
it can be called forcing on the subscribtion offer.
the old native access 1.42 don't manage subscribtion serial addition, you have to use the new one to download the komplete now news.
a lot of beta test about cpu instructions compatibility and nothing new on products.
the new battery build use the kontakt 7 scheme for unlock, NI will rebuild all again with this new structure.

SSE4, AVX, DX11 more and more restrictive on windows, but additive and compatible on apple OS.
they focus the Apple customers money. the legend tell they are more fortuned than windows one's.

 

Is there anyway we can get the complete list of Battery Factory Library Kits & Battery Now Kits ?

EDIT : Shit. I found solution to this quicker than expected. Lol.

1. Just browse the folder

Battery Now Library/Sounds/Battery Kits
Battery 4 Factory Library/Kits

there will be Kit files

2. Just type "Battery Now" on the browser search in Battery plugin, it will list kits only in that collection. Can also be applied for Battery Factory Library & Machines Expansion that comes with Battery Kits.

 

as usual with NI, the battery full content scan is very long, it also run as background task.
re open battery can help to show new path.
the best way to use it is to let battery opened until it finish the total scan. there is no runing wheel in the gui, but the scan can be seen from resource monitor activity.

 

I'm in sort of the same boat, I installed Battery Now, and while I can see the kits in the "files" section. I cannot see it in the factory section of the browser. Any help would be appreciated.
