Every year the theme is the same, but this year you didn't get the big egg. And immediately rumors start that they gave up, died, etc. Maybe they have other projects in the works, have patience.

Simple, they are super but still humans, so they need a break.

Guys, that's not the problem. R2R has already given everything, and now they could rest, or take a break, or retire. The problem is: the other Teams. They never really evolved, they didn't master their skills. We always see the same (modest) products, often released badly, and with the same mistakes and issues years after years. R2R can't do everything. The other Teams never really made a leap in quality. Apart from R2R, the WIN warez scene is really depressing atm

Tools are stupid. Digital tools are stupid. R2R cracks them and people use them and make stupid music.

 

Plenty of other Windows based scene groups just generally not in the Audio realm where R2R has supreme reign (quality/complexity). Many groups have been around for a very long time and the crackers have been waylaid by wars, family, real life issues and health stuff.

 

These kind of ungrateful threads covertly begging of new releases by R2R should be banned

 

To clarify just a few wrong things here :

1/ R2R is *not* a "scene" group, just like DVT, BTCR, LAXITY, RLTS, MAGNiTUDE ... R2R releases never comes from "official" warez-scene dump.

2/ R2R was ASSiGN and Peace-Out right before, releasing stuff since 2011 ... 13 years ... it's a pretty damn good longevity for a non-scene group. Radium lasted 4 years (1999-2000), AiR 9 years (not counting O2 or H2O era) ...

Oldest warez group is probably Razor 1911 (est 1985), but they jumped across platforms a few times (C64 > Amiga > Pc).

So 13 years in the making is quite an achievement for and audio-only team.
The least we can say is just Thank you for all the presents and immense gratitude for their hard work !

Just use your own Windows Firewall to block everything, and allow only what you need !
