that is not true,i own the Kemper Stage and Axe 3 ,on Kemper i tweak the profile just D,M and T,on the Axe 3 i tweak the preset depend on the im using.

I’m constantly searching in Tone.net for the realease of some amps that I’ve always dreamed to have on my rig.

1) Rivera TBR1
2) Marshall Major 200w with KT88 tubes
3) CAE Preamp + channel 2

For the CAE, I consider Rata Blanca’s Walter Giardino rig up to the begginings of 2001, as the best sounding guitar tone ever. Composed by: Proco Rat / CAE Preamp + Channel 2 / Marshall JCM800 power amp section modded with KT88 tubes / Greenbacks 25w.

Another dreamed tone is Marshall Major with Ritchie Blackmore’s mods.

There’s something about those KT88 tubes in Marshall amps that make them sound so big.

Hope someone captures some of those rigs someday

the best ever amp that I've played using KT88 is Verellen Meatsmoke. I've played and owned Model T with KT88 which was nice (sold it because inflation is good) but too much hassle with maintenance etc like all other vintages. Never come across a Marshall with KT88, don't know how it sounds, but Helix 3.5 has a Model T modeled and it sounds quite real if you want that KT88 powered amp sound.

Anyone else noticed that the exact same amp in ToneX does not null when used inside Amplitube 5?

 

i would think the gain structure is different due to the pathways they have going on

 

Check the delay : there is probably a different buffer size
Render the files and "sample align" them to check

Regarding the Kemper, it doesn't even look like he tried or used a refined profile.
