I also downloaded the midi tools. I was always frustrated by the fact that earlier uploads were timebombed, so I wanted to try them out. Some YouTubers seem to love them -- presumably, they're getting paid by WA because they don't have any value that I can see.

I also tried a couple of the plug-ins. Mutant Reverb, Mutant Delay, KSHMR.

Mutant Dog Poo if you ask me.

In my old neighborhood in NYC there were two Italian restaurants owned by the same person literally across the street from each other on 4th Street, Cuchina Di Pesce and Frutti Di Mare. One night I decided to eat in Cuchina and it wasn't very good at all, and then another evening went to try Frutti and ordered their Ossobuco which came without being braised in a yummy vegetable sauce, just a naked hunk of boiled veal with a big bone in it, dry, possibly past it's usable date, and after one bite which I promptly spit out into my napkin called my waiter over to tell him the bad news. He assured me that the Ossobuco was as it should be and that I must have never had it before. I was trying to temper my anger and to find the right words to tell him to go fuck himself in a quiet restaurantly way when a fellow also eating alone to my back and who also had ordered the same meal pipped out, "No, this really sucks", We both got up and walked away without of course paying, though I did flip a penny into my water glass before hitting the street as the tip.

These WA plugins remind me of those restaurants, perhaps pleasant to look at from the outside, but when sampling their wares was extremely disappointed. They really do suck.

Sauce is in a category of plugins which are only relevant as long as certain trend in music/genre sonics is relevant. The actual success of the plugin lies in its marketing: the name, the look, the genre-specific combination of effects and most importantly the aggressive social media marketing using Instagram and YouTube influences who are mediocre beatmakers but have thousands of followers.

I don't think that cracking plugins like these does really expose them for what they are. Because people who look for this kind of stuff want exactly that and they are most likely not trained enough to judge them.

On the contrary, I believe releasing gimmick-plugins like the Sauce or Super VHS and all the other bad and cheap plugins doesn't guide people into becoming better at what they do. It's kind of hard finding gems buried in a pile of bs.

That's the issue. They will make the lock better. Not the things inside the locker the lock is protecting.

I'll try to be positive for once and list all the useful, or at least not shitty, W.A. plugins here.
Both Babylon and Imperfect aren't bad per se, they're just barebones. Imperfect is the more characterful one, while Babylon is bog-standard digital synth.
Sphere series are competent. Almost like they hired some actual DSP programmers for these ones. SphereComp is their only dynamics tool that doesn't fu*ck up the sound at all times.
VocalSplitter is a known fake stereo trick (asymmetric detune & rectification) in one plugin. Doesn't do anything criminal and have adequate controls, handy if you're lazy or have better things to spend your time on.
DodgePro is a standard rhythmic gate. Also clicks on extreme time settings like a good half of them. If you use these kinds of tools you're better off knowing how to avoid this anyways.
Satyrus is harsh as sandpaper, but I've seen folks who are into that kind of stuff. Also it doesn't alias more than Decapitator, so that's something?
Make Me Scream has a bit more finesse, due to two-stage architecture. Once again, it's a flavour plugin, and not as digital flavour, so somebody will certainly find uses for it.
Orchid is yet another flavour plugin. It's hard to be objective with such things, because a lot comes down to application and preference in such cases. Anyways, you probably have a better chorus installed already, but this one isn't any more harmful than the others.
Zqueezer messes up the sound alright, but in a way that can also be considered a flavour. More useful if you EQ/filter the signal afterwards
And that's it. Everything else is subpar to dangerous.
Special mention goes to XTT. Holy shit this thing is bad. And yet I can see lots of "aspiring EDM producers" using it and then people like me working with the results :snuffy: Gotta remind myself to say "turn off XTT please" next time a proper sausage comes my way.

The "Babylon" is one of the few synthesizers that I deleted and will never install again. The sound is so bad. I've been doing sound design for 12 years and have tried to work with the Babylon and make some good presets, unfortunately the Babylon is unusable, a product for the garbage can.

Biggifier by Aden definitely deserves a mention for abusing literally anything it touches. the artifacts it introduces are just bad, and I'm yet to find any real world use for this and even get a semi clean result. I understand the idea they had, but the execution just sucks as with most "ONE KNOB MAGIC PLUGINS"

The one I'm on the fence about is KSHMR essentials and this is after watching his 1 hour sessions. The dude knows his stuff and can get some good results with it but its not exactly reinventing the wheel, its more or less ableton racks with skins

Never tried W.A. Production stuff but if they are that shitty then you should be thankful they were removed from the site, and all the negative comments posted here and on any other forums will be extremely helpful to warn others to not even waste their time downloading a demo of any of their plugins but more importantly never waste their money buying them.

For me, the Vocal Splitter gave a better result than Waves' Doubler. I'm happy to have found it.

    W. A. Production lost the opportunity to enjoy free publicity, 'cos in the environment I circulate, those who like it buy. I myself would only be interested in a preview on VENOM Spectral Processing that was not even included in this "release wave":

Maybe in the next life... :dunno:
Or not (after all this fuss about nothing)!

You don't know about other trustworthy places? Like a place where everything has a clicknupload link added?
Whenever I want to get a DMCA-ed download, I go there.
Although, after trying all the new WA plugins and even the older WA Plugins, I will say, they are shit. I will suggest you to refrain from downloading them.

Interesting after all these posts, you still want to download? I downloaded three of them for testing purposes, but after testing the first one I deleted all three archives. A company that classifies as 'High Budget' a completely (better said terribly) low grade plugin, selling it for 69$...
I had it for free, and deleted it, so I advise you not to waste your time searching for anything from W.A. Production.
