Hi, if I drag a rex2 File into Main Window or on the Files/Sound Tab it´s greyed out and does not import.

Works with wav files without a problem.

Anyone knows whats is the problem ?

did you try multiple files in rex2 format or older recycle REX files?

 

I have the Studio One 4 and i put a Rex2 file with Drag & Drop and it works fine.

My guess is that S1 still uses the REX Shared Library from propellerheads. It should be installed with S1 but something might have gone wrong during install, maybe the S1 installer asked for admin permissions and you've denied them?

 

not sure but i think rex is not implemented in the latest studio one, i could be wrong

Exactly, rex an rex2 don´t show up in the browser and in this list in Options - Folder/Datatype .

I don´t remember about any REX Shared Library from propellerheads during the install of S1.

Iám trying to use rex2 from the common sound libaries of Bigfish etc.


Maybe it´s because of that latest R2R Version which was buggy

 

The manufacturers like to suppress what they have deleted, but they advertise what is great new. At Ableton it was I think you can no longer use SF2. I've leafed through many pages on the Internet, support for the supported formats is miserable, even in the manual there is far too little in it. The user has to look it up. P.S .: I have version 4 and don't want version 5 either. More and more futures realize that the DAW is getting slower because something has to be deleted, of course what the users like to use. In version 4 you can see that it can import or read Rex & Rex 2 as shown in the picture above.

 

I was just going through my sample libaries partly converting them to iso, if they had more than a 1000 files and was wondering if its worth keeping the rex2 files at all.

When you draw the wav files in S1 it will adapt to tempo, if you use it in Sampleone you can also easily make slices.

After all I remember Recycle didn`t make better slices, you also had to finetune with the markers. So use Sampleone or third party plugs to slice should wok as well.

So I think get rid of that old shit rx2 ?
