Yeah, it looks to be that way, which is cool.

Ha! I guess that's true, lol. I think I was just initially thrown off the NI's involvement, but it appears they are just acting as the sales vendor presenting this specific bundle offer, and that's pretty much where their involvement ends. Kind of a sneaky way of U-He offering sales, but "not officially," on their own website.

Not that I've got anything against Native Instruments, per se, it's just that if I purchase software, I'd rather then deal directly with those responsible for any product I purchase, after the point of sale. Which seems to be the case here, so it's all good in the hood. :like:

Well I did end up purchasing the full U-He synths and effects bundle through Native Instruments, if that counts? :bleh:

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure that U-He wouldn't class me as a Native Instruments customer only. Since, I plan to potentially purchase more synths from U-He in the future and wouldn't want to have missed out on any possible 'upgrade discounts' that U-He may offer to their existing customers.

Any fears I may have conveyed, were proven unfounded, as Native Instruments were only acting as the sales vendor in this deal. Once the point of sale was concluded, all subsequent registration/activation is handled directly through U-He themselves, which is exactly what I wanted. :like:

Perhaps this information is a bit too late for your request (I never noticed your comment previously). However, the sale is still on offer, so just in case:

U-He confirms the following on their website:

So, there should be no issues for you, so long as you were willing to share the same email address and name - which are used for the product registration.

U-He also confirm that licences can also be transferred from one owner to another. So if someone wants to buy the other person out in the future, they can change the registered owner and email address to their own.

Are the U-He effects worth picking up if you already have Soundtoys 5?

I couldn't compare as I don't use SoundToys (I refuse to purchase any product that uses iLok).

However, the U-He effects are pretty decent quality in my opinion. Although I will confirm, my prime reason for purchasing the NI bundle offer was for the U-He synths themselves. The effects were a nice bonus to me.

If you're already familiar with their synths, then you're probably also aware of the kind of quality to expect from U-He.

u-he synths or the new Arturia V Collection for soundtracks and originals scoring songs?
I mean contemplative songs, slow, made up of textured & complex layers, with pads, drones, with sober percussive elements.
I need to choose fast for original works and I need your enlightened opinions because for now I painfully hesitate.
    Many thanks guys.

I own both the new Arturia V Collection 8, and also the U-He synths contained within this collection offer (Diva, Hive 2, Repro-1. Repro-5. Zebra2, Zebra2 The Dark Zebra) ... In my opinion, even though V Collection contains more synths, the U-He synths are superior quality to Arturia's collection.

For the type of genres you have described, I definitely believe U-He's synths are far better suited. Their convincing analog-sounding quality of U-He's synths edge out Arturia's products in my opinion.

Do you find Analog Lab useful? I mean I could buy Analog Lab+u-he synths? Or it's a better option to keep exclusively focused on u-he? My biggest fear is if I own u-he synths, I never turn to Analog Lab.

Lab is useless even more so now since the update, as they removed the multi-instruments feature and the new display interface suckssss.

U-he owns Arturia but a couple new Arturia synths are worth keeping since they're far superior than the oldest synths from v3 and before.

I have a legit Presswerk - very underrated yet superb compressor - musical and quite versatile.

As great as the U-He synths are, I wouldn't necessarily say that owning them would completely negate Arturia's synths. There are some great sounds with Arturia's stuff. If I had to compare them side-by-side though, I prefer U-He's sound. However, that doesn't mean that Arturia is not also worth having.

If you are able to purchase both the U-He synths and Analog Lab right now, that might be the best solution for you then. Since, with Analog Lab, you will have plenty of presets to use (even if you are not able to also open those presets inside the individual V Collection synths, to tweak 'ALL' of the parameters further.)

i.e. Analog Lab itself does allow you to tweak some basic parameters for the presets, but nothing that would dramatically alter the sound of them as it would with the whole V Collection. However, If you are happy to just use the Analog Lab presets (many of which are very nice) then that might be your best option.

Also, the fact that you would then own Analog Lab, may possibly qualify you for some slight Arturia discount, should you ever decide to purchase the full V Collection at some point in the future. Then again, you may simply find that you're satisfied enough with just the Analog Lab presets, since it emulates sounds from across the entire collection of Arturia synths, which may be more than you need.

I always struggle with these types of sales. Being a legit owner of Omnisphere, Serum, Lush-101, Diva, Repro, Friktion, Z3ta+2, Rapture Pro, all the AAS stuff, Sylenth1, Tal-U-No, all the Ableton instruments, and probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting....I know I don't really need anymore synths. But damn, I'm still tempted to grab Zebra and Hive 2 just because the prices are good right now.

Anyone who uses them think they offer anything that's not covered in what I already own?

I got Hive 2 just for the sale, the only u-he synth I was missing. What a beast and CPU friendly, great matrix, great sound. My top 3 synth now.

I would definitely pick up Zebra2 and Hive 2 in this sale, if you don't have them already. Like you, I also have U-He's other synths that you mentioned. But Hive and especially Zebra are very CPU-friendly compared to the other U-He synths.

Supposedly, Zebra 3 may be coming this year? Perhaps, if you grab it's younger brother, you will be eligible for an upgrade discount or suchlike? Which could make grabbing v2 in this current sale well worthwhile. Not to mention the synths themselves (like all U-He's stuff) are just great.

The multi-instruments was my favourite feature, I liked the possibility to split the keyboard...what a shame, it was a feature which could be determinant in my purchase.
