I installed 2.5 and the Sounsource and library, cracked it and everything is fine but, the text in the library content I can not see, so i can not choose the preset or the voice or the sample. The screen in the library content is black, i can scroll and even select the patches but I might as well be blind cause i can not see what i am clicking, the patch or voice or sample however you want to call it, works fine but i can not see it in text form. when i launch Omnisphere from FLstudio 11 it tells me that the steam folder is write-protected, try running it as administrator. So if i launch FLstudio in admin mode, Omnisphere will open without the message but still, i can not read the text. I tried to turn the steam folder and all its content in to write enabled but its buggy and a not all files will turn write-enabled most will stay read-only. I was told not to copy and paste the library, because it uses a particular system to index and identifies, so i installed it as standard. Any suggestions...?

First thing you need to do is tell us what operating System you are running. How do you expect help if you don't provide all the details. Right off the bat I will tell you this much. Your problem is twofold. One is an update or fix that was issued by Microfuck, and two you need full permissions to that STEAM folder.

Is there a need for starting an app in "admin mode" on a Mac?

Actually @Rob von Gallandt may it be Windows or Mac what you are using as OS, when Omnisphere opens check if you have no interference between plugin and database versions first.
The newest versions should read: Software 2.6.2c, Soundsources 2.6.1c, Patches 2.6.1c
For Windows make the current user owner of the STEAM folder or grant him/her full access. Under MAC OS use the chmod 777 command to do the same.
It's a better solution that starting an app as admin because (besides other problems) your app won't be allowed to use drag'n drop under Windows anymore if you start as admin.

That is another term vested upon this Seattle mafia group. BTW, as you said, the OP should and needs to update Omnisphere but the problem he describes is not an Omnisphere-update related problem. It is a Windows update, graphics related one.

I made this account to say I had this same problem. I think its a windows 7 issue. I can't remember what exact update it was that I downloaded that fixed it but I think it was the platform update. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36805
You can try that. Make sure you have framework 4.5 and redistributable 2013 installed as well.

 

The update I think is the one I mentioned on the comment above yours. Let me check.

 

It may be, I'm not sure. I know I hadn't downloaded a single update (even the security ones) from microsoft so if OP hasn't either then he may not have that update as well.

 

KB2670838, KB3145739. Some of the Microfuck updates are necessary, including security ones. There is no other way around that if you are a Windows user. With that said, I will stop speculating andd assuming because the OP has not even stated what OS he or she is using. For all we know he could be on macOS

You asked the question without even trying? In Windows as long as you patched the VST the DLL doesn't need to be patched. It is not going to be any different on macOS. Try it bro. It is not like your computer is going to explode.

 

Thanks that did it!! I wonder why Kontakt cant be the same? VST supported DAW works, but not in protools.

1 more question... I saw the release of keyscape (standalone update) but not for mac. Is it out yet?

OMG. Thank you for the welcome and of course, silly me i should have list the specs here, BTW, I'm loving Omnisphere 2.5 but I still haven't resolved the issue of the invisible text. I am running Win 7 64 and no, I don't allow windows to do any upgrades. Takes too long to do it, and I have always been fine with all my daw software and VST so far. The PC is an i5 with 10 available gigs of ram and a decently fast Nvidia GTX650 video card on an M-audio fast track pro external sound module. I am running Onmisphere version 2 without any problems but this new 2.5 has the invisible text. I'm just wondering if the TEAM R2R 2015 -crack is in fact buggy. mmm reading you all seams that the issue is my updates, clearly needed for Omni 2.5. I am on trickle internet at the moment as soon as i will have full optic fibre brutal download force i will let windows do its damned thing, hopefully, Karsperski will be gentle.

The only buggy thing here is your system. Whether you like it or not you must install those updates I mentioned or forget about Omnisphere and other programs that will be similarly affected.
