Sometimes some of one's favorite albuns are not among one's favorite artists. I love Blur's 13, PJ Harvey's Stories from the city, The Knife's Silent Shout, Ministry's The mind is a terrible thing and Psalm 69, Jeff Buckley's Grace, and many others that would be on my favorite albuns list. Also albuns from my country (Titãs' Cabeça Dinossauro, Chico Buarque''s Construção, for instance). Well, anyone in for a favorite albuns topic? Lol

I'd say all that we like to listen to influences our music. :winker: But there are some whom we'd like to be influenced by, some whom we are ashamed to admit we're influenced by, and some whom we actually are influenced by. :)

Gosh I'm never able to admit that sometimes 1 is just 1, and 0 is just simply 0.

I'm of a similar age and find the old groups the best. Modern music has got no soul!

I also enjoy Classical music! My fav composers are:

    Beethoven
    Mozart
    Hayden
    Bach
    Vivaldi

    I love Mozarts later piano concerto's, all of Beethovens symphonie's, Haydens Sturm and Drang symphonie's, Bach's violin concerto's & Brandenburg suite's & most of Vivaldi's violin concerto's.

Pop is great but classical is sublime!!

I guess we all have different ways!
Music is Universal and we may not all have a fav top 20 but we may like different types and styles of music in our own way! Cheers.

I agree! I am a big fan of all of those era's! New millenium music doesn't move me much I must say. The personality has faded from modern songs.

Maybe I should have made a top 50!!
There are so many bands, artists and composers that I truley admire and a top 20 just scrapes the surface to be honest but I thought I'd keep it simple on this occasion as it is my first post but top 30's and beyond are very welcome too!

James are one of the best bands that came out of England! They are in my top 20 list. I keep up with their latest albums and love their last 3 or 4 albums up until "Living In Extraordinary Times" Cheers.
