First, you have to Uninstall "Waves Complete" the usual way, than Delete all "Waves" folders from your old Installation on your C: Drive... Use Windows Search or the Free Searchprogramm "Everything"... Than go to your Registry and Delete all "Waves" entrys you can find with the Searchfunction! Then do a fresh Installation.
This worked for me...

My DAW doesn't play nice.. Still on FLStudio 11 here.

But I see. Maybe I have taken the first step Aka the "Clean EVERYTHING up" a little litely. The problem is that I have some trust issues with the R2R releases, so it's nice to have something that works to fall back on. That is the main reason why i didn't delete everything.

 

well 8 times installing for me and still no plugins show, only the 2 wave shells, im not a computer noob either, i removed all things waves, tried running as admin and still nothing, could it be a keygen issue? i reverted back to the 2017 happy new year version and it works gr8, not that i use waves much apart from the L2 and eq,

 

Can't recall if there was a "scan & verify" option back then. You need to verify to get the plugins from shells.

shell2vst doesn't work like that. If you delete WaveShell, the "extracted plugins" won't work anymore. Think of them as shortcuts to the original dll. When you deleted that dll, the shortcuts became broken so your DAW didn't show them on the plugin list.

Once your host scans the waveshell .dll it should display every plugin from Waves as a separate one on your plugin list without the need to use any additional tools.

Yup, scan & verify isn't in version 11.

Thanks for your reply! Hmmm..the shell2vst and than having only a small amount of dll's in my vst folder from Waves worked for me with older Waves. Well, I will rethink it again.

 

Hi Could i get help please? I keep getting the plugins as a waveshell? And it comes up as Vst 3 id didnt use waveshell converter any help?

I have a 2011 iMac that I used a waves installer waves_complete_v9r20.dmg with a waves_patch_111.dmg

I have had them installed for a couple years now but I am changing computers and trying to install them on my new one.... however... I have completely forgot how to do it.... I get as far as getting an r2r log but don't know where to go from there... Do I need to install anything else? waves central or anything like that or should it all load up with just that? I click the waves au reg utility 9.3 and it says wave shell audio units utility has encountered an eternal error. please reinstall wave shell .au and try again... Im really needing these plugins to work... so if someone could help id greatly appreciate it!
