    Noscript can be configured to leave you with an empty white page or everything open, so it if it's set up correctly it will protect you from anything nasty!


    I really should read to the end before posting in future :P

    I've never been misdirected from here, even once. I did have a problem getting on the site once before, but that was my fault after tripping up on the network cable, I hadn't realised the clip snapped and....(You can probably guess the rest)

    right buddy but honestly , we are not impacted because the % of mac users is small... we are not first targeted ....let it be :metal:

    yes and it's been discussed at least 20 times at this forum. just register at PeepLink and you won't see popups :yes:

    I'm using uBlock origin add-on with firefox. When I select "Fanboy’s Annoyance List" it makes the login button disappear. If I deselect this option, the login button appears again! (don't forget to "Apply Changes" when you do it...)

    Perhaps one should take a look at that...thank you!

    it's not really a hijacking since the popup open on a click at any place on a page, not only links. surely there's nothing nice about it, but it's a necessary evil :sad:

    interesting, but clearly it's a mistake on their side. personally i don't use Fanboy's list.

    Thank you for the 'no script suite' recommendation. It works from blocking all of the redirects. I mainly use FireFox with adblockplus and uorigin. I would have to login just to view any of the posts without being re-directed. Now that I have installed the no script, I don't have that issue any more. I check the sister site periodically throughout the day, and it's become a chore to have to login just to click on any link on the main page there. I have also noticed that one of those re-directs permanently added a bookmark in my list, so I had to uninstall FireFox and re-install it, to remove it, because it would not allow me to delete it.
