Every time I use FL Studio for more than 5 minutes my computer starts going crazy - the display just turns off and doesn't turn back on, explorer keeps restarting (basically unusable) and all round slow acting. Plus, FL no longer works with its built in ASIO drivers since those cause intense crackling. Is this the fault of the R2R crack? I'm running Windows 10 build 16299.64 with FL 12.5 build 59. Plug-ins aren't at fault since I don't even need to add any to a project, even the built in ones cause crashes. Anyone else with these issues?

 

Completely deleting everything related to FL, reinstalling and reapplying the crack seems to have worked, but still I have to start FL twice, since the first time I start it every boot the sound is extremely crackly.

 

I don't think this is related to the keygen [R2R's? no chance]. You most probably just have some general problems with your OS. Antiviruses, viruses [both almost the same thing], malware of some kind... something is running in the background since you mention audio crackling. I'd run Malvarebytes or McAffee Stinger and see what it finds. I'm sure there will be something.

Also, try opening FL Studio and waiting instead of starting it again. Maybe it just takes a while for it to open due to background processes taxing your CPU and HD.

Consider running another OS for audio and this one for Internet, or at least install Virtualbox and some kind of virtual OS in it for Internet, if you care about your work.

Built .59 was never properly working. Your problems could also be caused by the buggy plugin manager from that time. Windows defender can slow FL down too so it's best to deactivate it. And if there are then problems with your Plugin Database Folder which FL scans at every startup you kinda hit the jackpot.

The solution which at least worked for most users was to not use the old plugin manager anymore and instead using the latest fix from IL build .165.

If that crackling only happens in fl studio then you have to change Audio settings in Fl Studio. These issues dont happen on win10 with a good system. Take it from someone who actually uses win10. Try running another Daw besides fl studio to see if the crackling still happens because it could be driver settings and what kind of audio interface are you using? Also it will help if you let us know your system specs

 

This post is now the 6th of the last 20 active posts in the FL Studio Category which asks about the keygen. There is even one more post demanding a new keygen fix.. (not even allowed here but whatever, right?) makes it 7 of 20 = > 1/3. Before, there was only one post which should be more than enough.

Sure, it's a hot topic but also the thread titles look all the same, not specific enough to make something out of them as a forum user. I think it's time for some cleanup @Andrew.

Maybe that's the new A.I. in Windows 10 deployed within a patch last Tuesday at work. It's started to develop its own consciousness and going on strike from time to time. Soon Microsoft programs will create their own union and demand better wages and more free time.

 

One thing i hate about that OS is how updates can just screw your sh*t up smh! i had to stop windows updates for that reason

 

Your computer might also be overheating and the TPC is throttling you or forcing a shutdown.

I am not qualified to speak on FLS, I tried the demo from the Image Line site for a day or two years ago and was just so set in ways coming from traditional reel to reel DAWs that I just couldn't wrap my head around it or get anything done. I was spiky on my computer, more so than PT10 (I think it was around that time) but not extremely so and it still ran smooth.

Just get a resource monitor like speedfan that logs and record your temps and CPU while idle and while using FLS, clean up your heatsinks and get the dust out, etc... Though I don't know much about contemporary cracks and groups I remember R2R (Japanese crackers?) from back in the day and they were always clean.
