Hi, fellas. I'm sure I've seen something like this before but I can't remember where. I'm looking for some plugin that can add some motion in the stereo field so a mix can have some sparkle or added interest. I need something subtle. I don't want to mess up the stereo field so much as to break balance or destroy mono compatibility. Can you recommend any plugin of this sort? I hope I am making myself clear. If it is AAX compatible, so much the better. I'd also appreciate your own experiences in using such a tool.

NuGen has complete series of plugins for stereo manipulating, you should check

 

h3000 serves my needs, it also has some good presets

 

I work in Reaper which allows you to assign a lfo to your panning, or dynamic panning based on volume. It is extremely flexible, any amount of movement in any direction imaginable.

If your DAW allows pan automation you can do it manually. There are a few plugins that work exclusively with pan balance. mda round pan is one.

 

You can manually automate a direction mixer (not pan, if you have a stereo source) if you want to move a stereo source between LR channels.
