One data that's may be important when sharing presets (depending of the kind of presets), is the velocity sensibility which may need the keyboard to really take advantage of it.
I had a master keyboard which lowest velocity was 35 even touching it like a feather, my actual presets for Spire would be less useful with a keyboard like this.

Great idea Intro for the following reasons imo.

The paid "Preset libaries" often way overpriced and in my own personal opinion "tweek" a bit and create your own.

IMO it's just lazy and probably many preset packs some of which contain 32 Patches!!! 30 bucks for a few hours work .

Ultimately it's counter productive in terms of your own development and understanding imo

AS we all know it's quicker to use presets but often they don't fit the mix etc and have been used countless times before.

Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed as I have used a few select libraries but it eventually put's you in the position whereby you don't understand you VSTi's properly and haven't really worked with them to really understand the capabilities and just settle for a "quick fix"

Real top end sound designers provide some fantastic preset packs but a quick fix does not really give u understanding into the complete creative abilities of the synth u have bought.

Example buy spire 150 ish. Why go and spend 150 on 4 or 5 sample pack that probably won't help your progression much and ultimately produce "sterile" results.

There are however top designers in this field, Mikael Adele, Matt Bowdler, Junkie XL, Tasmodia who produce Some top noth stuff that is worth the price.

Best advice, don't become an obsessed collector as so many do. More ain't always better

IMO a "money making racket" utiised by many individuals that don't really understand the great potential of the synth they all ready have because that takes much more research & work than simply dialing in a Factory patch.

Simple answer, NO RULES so do what is right to suit your specific needs, goals & workflow but be very subjective. Then possibly go and re-evalute what it is about these particular packs that you find so useful and try to then build your own incorporating inspiration form the dev's syle u admire.

    Good luck :like:

Really good to see this! Hopefully there will be some good Ableton drum racks and Reaktor 6 modular-type synth setups popping up!

How about templates and such? I transcribed most of the Maschine Mk1 template to Maschine Mk2 for Studio One since Studio One didn't seem to have one. I already uploaded it elsewhere on the boards but it would make me happy if someone got a little use out of it.

Also, yeah this is truly an incredible idea, great job on making this forum even better =)
