Hi there. I'm using AudioUtopia's PT12 in Win10. I saw people using Transvst to use non aax cracked plugins and I decided to give it a try. I did exactly the same as written in the readme by AudioUtopia but I cannot even see the plugins in the list in PT.
I don't know if I'm missing a point but seeing that people wrapped all the vst'sis driving me crazy cause I couldn't successfuly wrap any of the plugins out there.
Here's the process I did;
- Wrap the plugin in Transvst.
- Open the aax directory (x86) and find the wrapped plugin.
- Open the aax folder and find the other aax file inside of it.
- Drag and drop it to transvst fixer and see the success message.
- Change the new modified aax with the old one you drag and dropped. Then delete the 'modified' folder.
- Take the aax folder which has the new modified aax file inside of it and copy/paste it to the aax directory (x64).
- Open PT and see that the plugin list don't have the one you wrapped.

Besides the last part, my process should be fine but I really couldn't understand the reason I failed.

First day here? Try the search function on here because there is a thread where somebody laid out the step by step of how to use Transvst for those who had issues. The issue seems to be in your process. So find that thread and see what step or steps you may have missed or followed out of order.

I've already read and tried the possible solutions people mentioned in that post but still no luck. Like I said, I did my homework and searched the forum.

 

Not sure how that could be. Your doing something wrong on your end.

 

you need to put the vst fixer EXE in the same folder as the plugin, so wherever you see the .aaxplugin file

Ok, i try to answer this..

1. Wrap your Vst/Vsti plugin with sugarbytes TransVST, for example : Amplitube 4.dll
2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins and find AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin folder and cut the folder and paste in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
3. Copy TransVST_Fixer file and paste in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin\Contents\x64
4. Drag AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin file and drop to TransVST_Fixer file, it will open the DOS window and tell you that the AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin has succes to fix and it will create modified folder in the same location (dont open TransVST_Fixer like you double clicking it or right click and run the file)
5. Now open the modified folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin\Contents\x64\modified) and cut the new AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin paste in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin\Contents\x64, just overwrite the old AmpliTube 4.aaxplugin
6. Done!! you can safely delete the TransVST_Fixer and modified folder

 

And what is this by the way? I dont understand.

 

OP just understand that TRANSVST has it's issues with some of the iLok plugins on win 10 where they will crash PT or they won't pass or process any audio. I'm on Win 10 so that's what happens for me. Not sure it might be better on Win 7 as Transvst was created I think for Win 7 at the time.

Only downside for me using Win 8 Compatibility in Studio One is for some reason iZotope Ozone 6 or 7 (VST2/VST3) runs like total crap and will crash Studio one. That's saying a lot cause I've been using Studio One for about 2 years and it never crashes. It's super stable. Ozone 5 runs totally fine.

I've been thinking about going to Win 7 or Win 8 if it's going to make everything run better.

 

OP your much better off just using Blue Cat PatchWork. It's much more stable and all the plugins work unlike Transvst.

Thank you mate, I tried putting TransVST_Fixer in the AAX plugin folder but didn't try putting it in the Contents\x64 folder.
I'll try your method and inform you guys.

I've been using Patchwork with my legit PT12 and I know it's a great plugin but I'm really pissed off cuz everyone can use wrapped AAX's and I cannot. Thanks for the advice btw.

 

you did everything right but the fact is not all plugin will work but
AudioUTOPIA released enough plugins to get you going

Maybe it is also a wrapper problem for me as Soundstoys refuses to load into FL STUDIO as well as Kush stuff, so, might there too be a work around for Windows 8 that I am not aware of. Maybe I should start a different thread, hmmm.

 

Why would you be pissed? Maybe your not understanding but those wrapped AAX plugins are filled with problems. Some plugins don't process or even pass any audio. Slate, plugin alliance just to name a few that have issues when wrapped. Not to mention PT crashes increase using Transvst wrapped plugins. No reason to be pissed at all. If anything you might be more pissed when you go to use a wrapped AAX and when you insert it boom PT crashes. Trust me I learned the hard way. I stick with the AAX plugs and use Blue Cat patchwork when I need a non aax plugin.

 

It's not about using AAX's, it's about installing them now. Like I said, seeing that people can install use them but I cannot is what drives me crazy. Someone posted his AAX plugins list, it was 2 whole rows and I'm sitting here without even one wrapped aax. I don't know if I'm retarded or not haha!

By the way, I tried 'walid's way and still the same. PT cannot even see the plugins. I did exactly how he said. I really hope its about my computer, not me. (btw I forgot to write about my system, I'm using Windows 10 in a Mac Pro via Bootcamp. Does it change anything?)
