I have many things recorded but this one is the latest and it has video so, why not?

It was composed in 3 days but I feel that it captures some of the "fun" elements that I usually introduce into my compositions.

Guitar world is so different than synths' of course. I really don't know why guitar guys could not establish a good connection with synth guys and vice versa. Does anyone know a good post in Audioz tutorials that joint them together?

I don't understand what you mean by this. Guitars and synths are only instruments that make sounds, why wouldn't they mix together? That music I posted has 3 synths in it.


Don't know what you mean by "type of guitars" and the sound is pretty bad but I think you could emulate that on a guitar by playing G5 and F5. The little "melody note" sounds like a pre-bent C# releasing to C.

I wrote that for a competition, the time limit was 1min.. and I am glad it was because I had to do it all in 3 days (writing, recording, mixing, etc) and Reaper was starting to get unstable. Don't know if it was a buggy plugin (all freeware) or the freshly installed WIN10.


Here's another short one. I was just recording a riff to remember later but ended up adding stuff and even tested the video thing (it's a standard video that comes with windows 7 but it served the purpose.. and kinda fitted the music, specially the horses ).

 

Incredible pal, I loved it! But one thing, change that distortion please. No intend to offend but regarding sound it sounds extremelly basic and awful, at least to me, and at least what I'd try to do is to find an 'individual' sound, something that when you hear it you say 'that's you' (like with Malmsteen or Vai, etc etc etc), get the drift? Other than that, congrats my friend!

Yeah, I never spend much time with electric guitar tones, mainly because I rarely play it. I just need them to feel responsive and not round out the attack/articulation of my fingers and to sit well in the mix. I usually end up with this kind of tone no matter what I use, I guess I kinda like it... or maybe it's the best I can get out of my 100€ guitar

 

Nice note selection! You have a unique style and that is so cool!

However I don't mean to be down but that is about it. Your technique is poor. You are simply trying to play things that are beyond your capabilities.
Also you are out of tune. I have read your posts and you obviously have a pretty good understanding of theory. Your note selection reflects that.
I'm not trying to be at all nasty but listening this for me personally was not fun at all. Your tone is absolutely horrible. (don't blame the guitar or pedal etc)
Also you are flat, when you bend your vibrato is non existent and off key.
That could be because of the manner in which you recorded i.e playing over a backing track, thru a distant mic etc.
You have so much to work upon. There is little point talking about Triads and theory when you can't even bend a note properly or sync your left and right hand.
Please understand I am not trying to be nasty but rather being honest in what I think.
I think for me personally the worst thing you said, after your playing was that "maybe it's the best I can get out of my 100 euro guitar????? Were you serious or joking lol!
Paul Gilbert look for guitars under 100$ and trust me in your case it wouldn't matter if you had a 1000 dollar guitar because the basics simply are not there.
Like I said i don't mean to be nasty but rather am just saying what I think with regards to what I heard.
However like I said the best element about your style is that it is unique and that in itself is a great skill. It somehow reminded me of Frank Zappa. Genius composer, couldn't play for shit so he hired someone that could like Steve Vai.
If you ever want to become serious about guitar I guess you have MANY years of practice ahead but the basis is there and you are individual so it's all good.

Try listening with your ears instead of your eyes, that solves most of the sync problems.

The guitar is crap because it's impossible to play in tune all over the neck.

I don't feel like justifying anything, much less your considerations about my knowledge or experience. It is what it is.

also try chnging the truss rod might affect the intonation unless u warped the neck. If so get a new guitar because one you cant play in tune ain't much good really. That's not down to money but more like temperature fluctuations, treatment etc but might not be. Good luck

 

In case you didn't notice, this was about me being new to the forum and sharing something at the time.

It feels kinda out of place to read an extensive analysis of my personality and guitar playing based on a 1min video that was posted just to say "Hi".

 

Thanks for the lessons but I think you missed the part where I said that I rarely pick up the electric guitar. That's why it is my cheapest instrument.

Go check the other topics, lots of people asking for opinions.

Again, just posted the video to say "Hi" when I joined the forum, didn't ask for any opinions but that's ok. Didn't posted this to be a "guitar song" either since my focus was the composition and all the other instruments but I understand that it has a guitar banner and that there's guitar on the video part.

You must have read that really quick... it says that I just added a random video to the audio as a test. Don't know why you bother to make that kind of comment (or any comments at all) with that attitude...

I registered long ago to give someone here a ISO of Cubase 6 but never posted anything. Started just a month ago.

Don't know why I suddenly became so interesting to new people arriving to this forum but since you scrutinize my stuff so much, why didn't you check that too?

I've introduced my music as a friendly way of introducing myself and everything went normal until all of a sudden, people decided to dig up an old thread and give me more feedback than those who ask for it are getting.

This thread had fulfilled it's purpose and was already buried. Given the sudden interest I would like to clarify that, even though I didn't ask for it, I am not against opinions.

It's cool if you want to say what you thought of the music.

It's a bit too much if you give a full review on it since I wrote it for a contest that ended even before I posted the video here.

It's overkill if you just registered in this forum and did all of the above + acting like a stalker/fan/hater.


I hope everyone understands my reaction.
