**Update** problem solved, I forgot to refresh the index


Ok so I've used Falcon and I'm familiar with the folders and how to set up the libraries. I tried to load some older libraries I found because I'm a collector and like to try different shit. However, these particular ones I'm getting errors, and I don't know if it's from the update to 26 or what. These are libraries that were uploaded by R2R, so they shouldn't have any issues, all the others I've used never have.

i've been on kontakt for a long time, just started using UVI earlier this year, and I'm pretty impressed. I still prefer my Kontakt libraries, but I'm really trying to see if I can replace Serum/Pigments/etc with just Falcon. Not there yet, but it's hard to leave something you know. I left Ableton after using it from 2006-2024. lol

 

I hear that, I love kontakt too, but some of the UVI libraries are extremly high quality and great sounds.

 

I have a problem with my libraries. i ran the uviemu CacheBuilder. I rebooted and looked in the folders for .ufs and R2RUVI files but falcon can't load the libraries. It gives me me an error message (unexpected error) when i try lo load libraries but the 2026 new factory library works fine. i tried reinstalling R2R falcon 3.1 and everything works like before except the new factory library of course.

 

If you started with a fresh install everything should have gone smoothly. uninstall the uviemu with Revo and stab at it again. If you are moving the correct 1kb file to the R2R folder and dropping your library where you choose, then all you have to do is point Falcon to the library location, close, run the cachebuilder again, and open Falcon. There really isn't much that could go wrong but make sure you have removed the old install completely. Can always be one stupid little file leftover screwing you up. Report back.

 

I downloaded Revo uninstalled falcon and uviemu. the reinstalled and it's still the same thing. here is the error message

 

I also tried the standalone falcon and it just crashes immediately when loading a library

 

Oh that's strange and quite particular to your system it sounds like. The last time I had an error like that in Studio One it was Sonible Smart EQ and the fact I had an IP address blocked that Studio One needed to allow the EQs to talk to each other for the smar features.

The fact you can't open it in standalone says something is up in the registry perhaps. I'm a little perplexed, and surprised that a full wipe with Revo didn't help you.

At least you can still run the previous version if you have works you need to open. If I think of something I'll touch back.
