You're talking about NI Battery? Don't even keep the current version - what's the point?

    Two case scenarios:
    • You own Komplete (or at least Battery), in which case NI keeps updating you via Native Access.
    • You download from the sister site, in which case the sister site keeps the latest version handy for you.
Either way, what's the point of keeping any version? Trash it, bin it, erase or delete it. Let it be gone.

    Hello @funkman:

    Please first install this one:
    Native Instruments Battery v4.1.7 CE-V.R
    Team V.R | 29 October 2021 | 117 MB

then you need only this one:
    Native Instruments Battery v4.3.1-bobdule
    bobdule| 10 January 2025 | 200 MB

Native Instruments Battery Now Library v1.0.34 BATTERY
    HiDERA | 4 April 2024 | 3.5 GB

No they have different content. The "Battery Now" adds 2.1 Gig of extra stuff.
Also take note if you are trying to install the "Battery Now" library included with the VR release, you have to install the v1.0 from 2021.10.29 (only 448 Meg) first or you get an error.

There are additional kits in a Battery Now Library, that's all. Once you have installed all the kits, you can pack them wit RAR and use that as your Battery library. You can even use WAVs in any other drum machine like TAL-Drum, for instance. The content, once established will stay the same. The little differences may be only some kit parameter adjustments, or similar. It has to sound the same because people have projects with Battery that - has to sound the same. Same with plugins, a certain version has to sound the same otherwise you risk changing people's project sound and people hate that.
