Pale Blue Dot

One last dance, we took the chance
Bedraggled refugees sailing interstellar seas
We made our getaway like guests who overstayed
Now we're almost out of air, ship's in need of repair

Constant fright broken up by starlight
My first mate up and died, how we cried by her side
She'd live her life in vain if the goal we do not claim
Seems we're running out of time...the end of the line

The radar has been on the fritz, not sure just where we are

so for this one i wanted to create a delicate and comforting feeling. life is so fragile, seeing a mini earth made me think of that and how delicate it looks. it might not look like much from this angle but its home and i feel like im exactly where im suppose to be. thats always something that made me feel comfortable no matter where i am in the world or what i go through; that the universe supports me i believe

so it starts with a sample from the Elvis song Blue Moon singing, “blue moon, you knew just what i was there for”, i also reversed the “blue” part and used that subtly for texture. everything else was played, recorded, etc. by me as usual to express those feelings i explained - the colors made me think of like those old school, 1950’s Sadie Hawkins dances they had at schools here in the U.S. so i pictured like a nocturnal celestial slow dance happening, with earth as the only light in the cosmic dancehall. thats how i landed on those genres stylistically, was fun

@Grape Ape .. Hey Yo, Bro...Definitely my favorite of your's so far. From the first note to the last I had in my mind's eye the vision of the Pale Blue Dot, and your music instilled in me both a sense of longing for home as well as the hope that someday I shall return.

Rewriting... with le fretless - decided to go with beauty rather than a 10 minute easy series of sound bytes, which is what my first incarnation was.

As for the Avatar it's A.I - "Amiably Inconclusive"
