Downloaded Flare V2.0 but nothing seems to load after extracting and opening and clicking on any of the buttons doesn't bring up anything. What could be the problem here?

I have downloaded the content files and have extracted with the zip files ready.

I remember that it had something to do with Java...but not sure if that was with v1 or v2...or both perhaps...im not in my studio right now so i cant look it up...i always make install notes when facing install troubles...i ll look it up lateron.

I have seen these.. These do not specifically talk about the problem I am facing.

 

It can take a while though...importing a line...depends on the size

 

I dont even see any line in the Flare tool.. none of the buttons work as well

I have managed to come up with a solution to this issue. Launch the standalone Arcade app, then sign out and sign in. Go to settings -> audio/MIDI -> Change the driver to ASIO. Mine was set originally to Windows Audio. Now when I use Arcade within FL Studio it works. Hope I help someone else with this issue.

Not sure if i follow correctly. The problem I am seeing is with FLARE tool and not arcade.
Ideally, the FLARE tool should work even without Arcade instlaled i suppose?

 

If it works on other computers, it's your computer. I've read that a lot of people have problems with it and I think it's malicious software. But maybe there is a solution to your problem, what does the manufacturer say about it?

It used to work with my older system.. I recently upgraded my computer and it doesn't work after that.

 

Whoever wrote the program and then stopped providing updates, they threw the thing in the trash and made music.

PASTE THIS IN THE TERMINAL:
sudo java -jar "[Location of flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar]"
EXAMPLE:
sudo java -jar "/Users/name/Desktop/flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar"

What does this tool do?
This tool imports and exports Output Arcade's Library Content. This tool must be used to import our Library Content as Arcade has a .db
file which needs to be modified for the content to be recognized.

How do I use this tool?
To Import your library content you must select the Arcade Content Path (it should be done automatically). If you'd like to change the path
you must open Arcade then go to the settings and change it from there!

The default locations are:
For Windows: C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade
For Mac: System/Library/Application Support/Output/Arcade
After you specify the content location you must specify the path where your downloaded library content is.

After you can click import and wait for the tool to do its importing. (It might take a while depending on your system).
Once it's done you'll get a popup window saying that its completed.

How do I export kits/lines?
Specify where you want to export your kits to. Make sure its in a folder and not in a root directory. Once you do that, select which
lines/kits you'd like to export. You can select multiple by holding down CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac) and clicking on what you want.

After the kits you want are selected, you can click export and wait for the tool to do its exporting. (It might take a while depending on
your system). Then click export. Once it's done you'll get a popup saying its completed.

Can I import/export my own custom kits?
At the moment you aren't able to import/export your own kits. You might be able to in future updates though!

On the image you show the folders are still in compressed format ... Are you sure you point to the right folder ?

 

The libraries need to remain zip files yes

 

Should you place the FLARE tool on the same folder as the zip files?
