Do you have a good link for : Spectrasonics Omnisphere v2.8 Core Library [STEAM] ?

 

Keep in mind, that Bob Moog Tribute library has also been a problem for people in the past. Is there a way to check the number of soundsources for that? I did it once, and the errors were very similar. When I was trying to fix it, I found a thread or two about it, fixed it, and then never installed it again.

Incorrect install, or whatever; but it was a headache to fix. Look into this before you wipe out your entire steam installation, because that takes a long time to reinstall.

 

I had the same problem with the initial installation (PIRAT), but I had an additional issue: it couldn’t detect where my STEAM folder was located. Thanks to the MORIA software update, Omnisphere detected the STEAM folder during the update installation… very strange. That’s why I think I should start from scratch with the correct files. If anyone has a good link, I’ll give it a try tomorrow!

Unfortunately no, only the sister site is actually reliable, it is also deleted there if it does not work, it is not advisable to download something wildly from the internet.

The best idea for installing the Steam folder content, is to put it to the default location first. Even if you want to move it to another drive. Then on Mac, after initial install, move the folder where you want. Then you just go to the directory above STEAM, right click your main STEAM folder and do Create Alias; and then you move the Alias into the folder where it was initially installed. It's like a Symlink, just easier to deal with.

The Steam folder that the Omnisphere Diagnostics at the splash screen shows, is the folder it is looking at. You could just drop the Alias into that folder location. Or you can change the location in the plugin first. It's a referrer, and forwards the plugin to whatever location you want.
You don't even need to reboot to test it.
