I am looking for a library of sounds from the Ensoniq SQ 1 plus Synthesizer for kontakt

I searched the internet a little and couldn't find anything.

It seems that Ensoniq SQ 1 plus and Ensoniq SQ 2 share the same sound bank. ..maybe someone has one of those sound banks.

there are a good number of Ensoniq banks, samples, etc as torrents. They are in a number of different formats. ISO, Kontakt, Akai.

Is Ensoniq even a company still? They were merged with E-Mu and dismantled by Creative Labs. Would these not be considered abandonware?

Indeed. I'd like to know as well, as some companies are rather rabid about intellectual property even if they haven't used it in aeons.

 

No one will come after an illegal distribution with an axe, if the legal rights holders don't lose money or can't make money off it. Independent copyright lawers could still write a letter, but there are bigger fish to fry than ancient synth presets. Technically abandonware isn't a thing, and basically just means that no one cares anymore. It's like the Fight Club, if you are in it then don't talk about it. If you are not like Mr.Pavel from Eurasia with the AudioFilezShop, you are in the green.
