Yeah! I've created an automation for demo noise removal so it's less work do to these.

People are interested in anything that sounds good. NAM is another option. For me TONEX, NAM and other things are given me so many options that my brain cannot compute. I feel as if I need to go back to basics and a used MK III Orange Rockerverb and a Marshall Silver Jubilee are starting to look like good options.

    @Davman i totally understand :like:

    For me :
    NAM
    ToneX
THU Rig Player : already selected only few "best of", like Choptones Angel ones (ENGL)
Mooer MNRS 2.0 (GeLabs) : 10 Anthony Class captures and ended looking further

I tested THOUSANDS profiles on all those platforms. Just for high gain metal.

So now i will probably abandon ToneX option, because too many useless fillers.
I already removed thousands captures from ToneX with ToneXdb explorer.
Like "Blackened Dove" user, and his 1300+ captures, some others ... and IK captures too
Now i'm 8000 profiles (half) and "only" 3000 high gains.
Will remove users until i reach some hundreds left to test. And select only 10 as final.

About NAM, i'm torned : less fillers BUT impossible to get a "full download" pack and so "sort them" the way i want.

    My best advice :

-find USERS doing good captures and stick to them.
    Simply erase and forget others.
Because ALL their captures will s*cks.

-And don't "follow" the most well known thinking "he is hyped SO he is good at it".
Do you know the first rank ToneX high gain capture ?
IICP & Badlander ... because Ola is well known.
    Quality ? Average
Same with Amalgam Audio : ppl want it just because it is paid and "hype".
Quality ? good BUT same than any good shadow user can do.

Stick with that and you will have only some hundred profiles to sort, once and for all.
And follow your fav users, like i follow SDS and some others.

Those profilers are a bottomless hole ... it is time for me to avoid them by SELF LIMITATION

Speaking about Ola (who I'm nothing but a groupie of, I love this guy), he made a video about how he profiled his Friedman JJ Jr and released the tone model on tone.net. Name's "Olas JJ Jr".

In his video the tone model sounded AWESOME. When I use it (with a whopping 6 different guitars, so hardware is out of the equation), it's boomy af. Like the tone is drowned into lows (chugs really good though). Did someone try it and had the same "problem" ?

Can you share a DI of your own ?
Let see if there is a problem on "guitar input" side.

Try with those DI (very good one) the usual "RoseOfSharynDI Project"
    https://ultimatemetal.com/threads/the-definitive-rose-of-sharyn-di-backing.569814/

So at least we get a reference point.

Download links are dead, shame, I would've given it a try. It's the only profile I'm getting this boominess with, other (good) profiles are 100% fine. I got the classic gutar into scarlett (3rd gen) setup, whatever the guitar I'm using, so there's something with this profile at least on my side

It remembers me IBIS in photography.
Whereas Olympus included it since day ONE because it is a part of their design, other makers said "we will NOT include IBIS".
Now tell me witch camera maker don't provide IBIS.

Line6 and Fractal don't include profiling ... but trust me they will soon

You can also simply get a profiling software and download only these two amps. At this point, the real deal doesn't really sound better any more, and I say it as someone who vastly preferred real amps to software sims just two years ago.

Sadly, there are few occasions when you really NEED a real amp + cab.
Sound AND feel : we crossed the line more than a decade ago with the Kemper.

It really FEELS like a real amp, like ALL profilers tech (THU Rig player, Mooer MNRS 2, ToneX, NAM ... whatever).
And soundwise, you need to make a null test to hear the "difference" with any profiler too:rofl:

I was going to buy a 6505 combo (and cut the bottom) with the money of my last guitar/modeler sell ... but NO.
    I don't see the point.

I may buy a solid state power amp and a good 212 cab instead, just to get the "amp in the room" kick.
Probably loaded with Celestion FRFR speakers

Too many choice is always there, even with real amps.
You need to deal with it by "cutting the rope".

I cut the rope of "real amps" (too heavy, expansive, hot, fragile in gig condition ...)
I cut the rope for MNRS search (thanks to Anthony Class amazing captures ... from Kemper )
Now i cut the ToneX search rope (thanks to ivansandoval , UrZeit and some others).
Next : cutting the NAM rope ... i don't know how but it will come

Looks like someone is watching Glenn on YT :p

I have at least 1 amp head from him ("SDS MT15 Lead", PRS MT15 obviously) in my library, but I think it's the only one he released on tone.net. I saw his promo video about his profiles, damn with OH IRs they sound good

Glenn is not the first to do it

It is a well known way to get a cheap 5150/6505 amp for years.
Since it was second hand, in fact.
Some ppl even swear, by owning different models, that the combo one is sounding almost as good than the 1992 one.
Because the first run of 6505 was exactly the SAME circuit than 5150 1992 original.
    Combo included.

    Now compare the price

    400 bucks combo
5150 1992 : at least 1000 ... when you find one in good shape
