Hey friends,

Recently upgraded from kontakt portable 6.7 to kontakt portable 7.3

When running each version next to eachother I cannot get them to both appear in "hi res mode"

I am on a 4k monitor and 6.7 looks clean and sharp, 7.3 looks grainy and pixellated

The scaling settings inside ableton are identical and I cant find any settings in the kontakt player that address this.

Any ideas homies?

 

You may have uploaded the wring image to imgur. The quality between those images is the same to my eyes.

 

You must have remarkably good eyesight with everything so tiny.

 

i see it, looks like a scaling issue, less grany more unsharp imo

 

After clicking on the imgur link you either need to right-click on the images and select 'open in new tab' or drag them to your desktop. The link doesn't show the real size.

 

The second pic defo looks like an inappropriate scaling, but I'm not sure whether this is the only reason.

 

This is a great fix. I wonder though if it works well for 4K screens since that's what HighDpi is supposed to do. Render the GUI bigger or you'll have it too small.
There's clearly a long ways to go until this feature is properly implemented.
