Sorry guy but not all library work on Kontakt 6 or up (MAC) In windows is different.
In (Mac) Kontakt 5 some libraries does not work because they are made with last version of Kontakt. If you add them with Kontakt 5 and you try to use them the prompt will show you: This library belong a newer version of.. etc etc
If you try to open the library in Kontakt 6 the prompt says : This library is not correctly added etc. etc.
So anyone have an idea? Not enought change the SNPID or any other action in the Service Center or in the Preferences.
Kontakt 6 does'n load the library.... any idea?

You need to clarify some things first:
– has the library ever loaded in version 5?
– does it load now on version 5?
– does Kontakt 5.6.0 let you add the library? (if it doesn't appear on the left side list, it's not necessarily a problem, at all)
– does this library add correctly on Windows version of Kontakt?
– has anyone else, that you know, managed to add the exact same copy properly on another computer?

Most of the time when people discussed this type of issues, at the end the cause was an unconfirmed/unreliable source of the material with fake/home-made/broken .nicnt file and/or the person has tried to add other libraries with those third-party tools that create a fake .nicnt with random SNPID code, causing a mess in Service Center and Preferences.

There exist very few mysterious cases, old libraries that have worked just fine in the past and there is no way to make it appear in version 6 but most of the cases are simply from the wrong source on a messy system.

This may be a solution. You will need to use an older version of Kontakt (like Kontakt 5.6.0) to upload the non-registered Kontakt library. Once the library is uploaded, the library will appear in your Kontakt 6 library.

Hello, will the libraries that you install in kontakt 5 show up in Kontakt 7 when you have both versions?????

 

Hello I understand what you wrote but will the Kontakt 5 libraries appear in Kontakt 7 as well I cant seem to get the old libraries from my Kontakt 5 standalone to show up in Konakt 7 Not the full version or the free player hmmmm!!

 

I have perhaps a related question, or maybe not, so if not tell me to piss off and i'll start a new topic. that said.
I have Komplete 7 - the physical DVD set. i'd like to try installing it and playing with it. Do I just use the NI installer to install the programs and then remove the legit Kontakt and replace it with the appropriate R2R version? I'm on windows, I have already installed Battery3 using this method and it works quite well with my midi pad controller.

well let me know if this seems reasonable or if theres a better way.

BTW it includes Kontakt4, but I only have Kontakt5.8 portable - will they place nice together ?

thanks for any tips on this before I do the DVD shuffle (been doing pushups to build up my upper body strength for all those disc changes)
