When i open the Waveshell 9.91 or Waveshell 9.92 no plugins show up. When i use the waveshell on the shell2vst it says 0 vst created (not even giving me a chance to specify the location)

anyone has a fix?

 

i have the same issue, it clearly shows the wave shells but not the plugins themselves, i tried 4 times with no luck, i reverted back to a 2017 release which works gr8, not sure why it do this as i have installed waves many times with no problems, maybe someone has a solution?

The newest version released on the sister site, but i have the same problem with the new years version (both by R2R).

Oh that's odd. I get the exact same problem. After putting the licence in the license folder and opening the Waveshell it once again says "0 vsts can be generated".

 

Make sure you're using Waves_Complete_9.92.50_patch.exe, the older one won't work anymore with latest Waves Central

 

check if it's installed in this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
I had the same problem when Waves install just on C:\
Also be sure that the WaveShell1-VST 9.92_x64.dll is gone from here: C:\Program Files\VstPlugIns after you uninstall. I had to completely remove waves deleting all plugins and folders, then reinstall and do a deep scan off the plugins in my DAW after this happened to me. I currently is using:

Okay, I have done what you said and tried the V.R one.
First of all i can't use the Waveshell on the shell2vst, cmd says "Failed to create" to all the plugins.
When i open the Waveshell inside FLStudio i only get this list: (see attachment)
Is the shell2vst still working for you with the new release?

 

is this the first time you try waves complete? Have you gotten any version to work before? Are you on windows 64 bit?
Do you have custom folder for you 64 bit plugins?

 

No, I have used the R2R complete before, but just haven't bothered to update for a long time because of a lot problems with the R2R update release. But i thought i would have a go at it now that R2R has released a new Complete package.
I used to have custom folders but now im at the C/Program Files/Waves path.

EDIT: I got the waveshell to create the plugin .dll's using the shell2vst but only the portion of plugins shown before. Im now going to try the demonoid one and see if that solves everything. Gonna report back.

If you have any custom presets, back them up and do a clean install. Waveshell & system links corrupts sometimes.
Have found that a clean install works perfectly.

Last time it happened I had just updated current V.R. install without uninstalling previous Waves install.

Has happened under Windows 7 x64 & Windows 8 x64.

Also check Administration Rights for Waves directory.

 

It's all good now.

A final question though, does Studiorack work for you? When opening it just ask for 9.6 Waves plugin and when choosing the C:/Program Files/Waves/Plugins V9 the popup reappears

 

As a side note, unless your DAW doesn't wan't to play nice, you shouldn't need to use shell2vst, all the plugins show up separately without the use of it these days.

 

Follow the instructions in the R2R text carefully.

I can confirm this (and every other R2R Waves release) works perfectly if installed correctly.

A lot of people mess up Waves installations because they don't follow the instructions exactly.

Be sure to clear old installations out 'completely' before installing any new version.
*Search your pc for any folders named 'Waves' and delete them and their contents.

Also remove the registry entries.

I stopped using the shell converter because it does not convert VST3. And that works way better nowadays in combination with FL. IL even announced full compatibility with Waves a while ago..
Have just updated my favorites in the Plugin Database with the 9.92 ones. Feel free to use them. Can save you a lot of time, sorting.

Yes but i use R2R version never had any issues with that one
Great that you managed to get tiny ddl finally using shell2vst i need to try again some day.
But on the other hand i only use Vst3 but when i have a problem i always wanna solve it
I like to know what you meant by "demonoid"? English isnt my main language

When I use shell2vst64.exe on WaveShell1-VST 9.92_x64.dll from the latest Waves by R2R it makes a new Waves folder with over 500VSTs.
I deleted WaveShell1-VST 9.92_x64.dl and also the one with 9.7 (if not mistaken - not sitting on my music PC).
Then moved the 500+ VSTs to another location outside my VST plugins folder. Copy some Waves dll back into my VST folder.
Now my DAW's (Samplitude Pro X3/Reaper) scans them, but won't show them.

Probaly I need to clean/delete more as Daskeladden mentioned above?

What I don't understand is..

No need to use shell2vst - all plugins show up separately. Where are they showing up separately?
