I am amazed by the quality of products provided by Acustica Nebula and third parties. Just recently discovered VNXT e140 which is sampled from EMT 140. Because of the advanced technology Nebula uses to recreate the similar or close to the original effect, I am finding it so realistic that I am ready to abandon all my reverb vsts except Valhalla. Although you don't have much control in Nebula, the sonic pleasure you get is what you hear in movies and records. IMHO it even beats Altiverb, Reverberate etc because of how Nebula works.

Very high because I have configured Nebula to work at it's best. But my CPU is also old so you may get different latency. I don't use it like when I am working but when I am processing. But the quality is spoiling me and sometimes I just sit back and wait to get the feel. It has the movements that no convolution reverb can provide, not because they are not high quality (indeed they are) or as such but you know the Nebula technology, Von!! In comparison convolution reverbs are static with X and Y directions but Nebula gives a Z plane as well. I wonder if samples are like this then what would be the original hardware.

Often the best solution for a reverb on an aux track is a combination of an algorithmic reverb in adition of a convolution Reverb.
    Sound engineers advise that.
Some plugins use this technology, like Wizoo Verb 5 and I think 2C Audio Aether for examples.

I like a lot the Wave Arts reverb which is versatile,a go-to for an Algorithmic.
And Liquid Sonics Reverberate for a convolution.

    haha :D
Same question like: " which car should i drive?"
    There is no best reverb.
    Every reverb sounds different.
    Try 10 and then decide.

    For me:
Orchestra, pop, analog stuff: EWQL Spaces!!!! i tested the trial. Sounds warm and huge and creates so much good space.

For all electronic stuff i use the ableton reverb. i tried so much reverbs, that it makes me crazy. but when you have a good DAW, use the stock plugins for reverb. (Except FL, :D )

Cubase Pro has a nice reverb too.

That's correct my friend. But if you were searching for a car, wouldn't you want to try the 10 best of all to see which one fits to you? :guru:
That is the purpose of this threat. To clear the muddy list up and then have more clear options on what to choose

That's defo user error. Maybe. And u may suck hard in ur spare time, but prolly unrelated :P U shud nvr send omni sound 2 rvrb, in 1st place, why wud u?

Agree w/ everything except mix engineer part! Shud rly b job of producer 2 decide on soundspace, imo. Best other advice (seem stupid i know) in teh "illusion" vein is prolly 2 turn down ur reverb until u "can't hear it". Just trust those ears can still feel that space almost subconciously... This is startn 2 have vision quest (audio quest?) vibe 2 it! The inuit use all parts of the mix, adding reverb 2 silence just in case the wind gusts etcs!
